How To Loafers 101: Why You Should Consider a Pair of Loafers 

Not late man! I appreciate you keeping up man! God tier. Ultra God tier footwear, its like if you don't know you don't know. And then BAM. Wow. I sometimes feel guilty how comfortable and classic they look. But then I just feel sorry for people not in loafers. And yeah, as we get "older" (similar age lol), the more simple and refined something is, the more I like it.

@@jessupsays same! It's like people don't know what they're missing out on haha! I mean sneakers are great and comfy and sometimes stylish, but loafers are just chefs kiss! Keep up the great content, maybe you can do a wardrobe check in some time if you need a video idea. Would love to see what you're rocking - or even a winter inspo video, I am absolutely loving layering up atm!

So true, can't go past a pair of sneakers, but yeah loafers are AS comfortable for the most part! Thanks mate, appreciate the suggestion! What kind of thing would you want to know/ are you interested in? I'm wearing a LOT of layers hahahaha, currently in Rural VIC and its proper cold (Not a complaint, actually very happy about it)

@@jessupsays I think a "ten things I'm wearing this winter" or "tips on layering up" type video would be great to show off what you have! Lol rural Vic would be crazy! I'm in urban SA and it is cold (but loving it!!)

Could not agree more. They're the perfect shoe for pretty much everything (expect hiking to be fair). Simon PS pair of Belgravias are extremely pretty and everytime he posts them I go look at the price to remind myself why I don't own a pair hahaha. Very very nice though!

@@jessupsays agreed! I dream of the suede version and then you read his write up on them and go right to wanting the calf and watch them patina haha. Leffot in NYC will let you make a custom pair too!

Hahahaha, we had the same thought process! I love my suede LHS for comfort, but my Whiskey Cordovans.. Man they're WAY more pretty and the patina is lovely. Acutally IMHO the prettiest loafer featured in the whole video is that Clove Suede EG Belgravia that's in the EG section. Its stunning. I wouldn't wear it, but still. The only place in Aus you can buy EG (Double Monk) also do custom. Expensive, but if you're already in that price bracket!?! I don't need a 3rd loafer, but that would be it. Or the C&J Cavendish in Snuff another absolute classic.

@@jessupsays C&J seem to have great stuff. The Cavendish and the Harvards would make an excellent combo.

ALMOST mate! Thank you for your support and sub. Me too man, something classic and American. Meermin value for money is outstanding. Rancourt are very high quality and also wildly affordable. And they're Made in Maine, very cool brand. My boat shoes from them, the leather is sooo nice and thick and 'old fashioned'. Alden get the toe perfectly on the LHS, but a bit more pricey. Maybe have a look a Grant Stone too? As you say, so many choices. And only 2 feet. Cursed.

@@jessupsays You are now at 1k. Congrats to you.. I have two pairs of grant stone but I don't like the shape of their loafer. I prefer a round toe like those you mentioned. Alden is nice but their prices are a bit high for me personally. I Still am WFH. So all my clothing and shoes don't get much wear these days.

Thanks mate. Truly thank you for the support. Interesting, I've not seen any in person, but yes I can see that. To my eye they're a similar shape to Carmina/Meermin in that sense. Though they 'copied' Alden, I agree that Alden just do it better in terms of the look. You're right though, if you aren't wearing them, then its a steep cost. But at the same time, sell the GS and buy 1 pair of Alden? Just a thought (if they're the grails). To me I'd rather have 1 pair that I absolutely love than 10 I don't really wear. But thats me! Alden quality/ price isnt there IMHO btw. C&J is superior. But the Alden LHS last and design and shape etc. Its just SOOO Comfortable.
