Sheikh Abdal Hakim Murad is a very special person. When someone of his caliber studies Islam deeply he can only become a true gem. Always incredible insights expressed in the most beautiful articulate words. A very much beloved sheikh of mine.
JazakaAllah Khair for arranging this session brother. And may Allah preserve Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad, he is such a lovely example of a neotraditionalist Muslim. May Allah preserve him for us and continuously bless us with his pearly words.
Mashallah... May Allah bless shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad with good health and safety. May we continuously benefit from his wisdom... Truely gem... I couldn't find any muslim scholor upto his level presently. Humble and gentle human being....
54.15 - the sheikh states: The shaytaan is this personification that the Monotheisms use of (to represent) the lower capacities within ourselves. @ 56.00 He says : the Nafs and the Waswasa of Shaytaan as 2 aspects of the same thing. These are both contradictory to what I understand / what I was taught. The sheikh position on the topic seems mercurial. He seems at one point to deny the independent existence of shiyateen and their waswasa/ whisperings - yet minutes later states they are independent realities of plenitudes of God's creation. I haven't fathomed this yet. Would love for him to clarify what he means.
