Run the microsoft app you want to block , then open task manager < details < find the app name you want to block and Open file location < find the exe path and paste in ask admin
while extracting the file I got an error "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk" and further it gave options to don't run and run away - is this application safe
but there not " locked " to get a actual password for that askadmin - u have to BUY a key to set password - anyone else can simply open the app and remove the blocked ones same way you urself would n as long as they put it back they could perv all your messenger messages ( for example ) or read ur email and then just pop uit back in list none the wiser
Can you schedule a specific time when the app locks each day? Im trying to find something that will let me lock windows apps at a specific time each day. If Ask Admin doesn't work for this use case do you know any other programs I can try?
@@oliviernoel6470 I did manage to find one called 'Focus Me' Which seems to work exactly like what I was wanting but its subscription based. Very frustrating -_-

Start > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > Security Options > User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode > Rightclick > Properties > Set Dropdown to "Prompt for Credentials" > OK Now go to your App, Rightclick > Open File location > Rightclick Again > Properties > Compatibility > Tick on the "Run this program as administrator" > OK
how to set a password?? currently my password is nothing, i mean like whenever i open a pop up comes and asks for password, if i do not enter anything and hit "YES" the app launches
