Great tips, Bethany! I find that a pointed toe heel often elongates nicely. I am on the verge of average and petite at 5 foot 4 but otherwise have the same measurements/body shape as you. I agree that knee length or just under the knee for me really cuts me off and makes me look shorter but I don't feel comfortable not do I find a mid thigh length dress or skirt flattering. I have found that about an inch or two above the knee balances out my hips and thighs and makes them look slimmer and also elongates my legs. I also love a high waist and wear it often but if I wear a piece over that (usually a blazer- my favorite!) that if it hits me mid hip that is the most slimming. I don't love a boxy cut but something fitted in my waist that shows off my curves while slimming my hips really makes my legs look longer and leaner and makes my body look slim yet gives a more hourglass vs pear shape effect. That formula plus A line dresses are my most flattering looks.

Hi Bethany , The column of line with black and nude you tried to create was an interesting look & out of the box ,appreciate that . Light colours stand out in contrast with dark colours,hence I see nude colour brought about a break in perciving the column of color in my opinion. Here you are trying to use & work black as your column of colour and that black shoes did favor by bridging that distance that was created by the nude skin & by the 3/4 black pants . What do you think ?

Love all ur vids and ur style. I'm also petite at 5'1". And yes, it can be such a struggle lengthening height when youre naturally short :D. i've been following and watching your vids coz I love monochromatic style too, mostly black if not just solid colors. Although I will have to get used to throwing in accessories, i pretty much just wear 1 necklace and same pair of earrings that i never take off. Keep posting! Learning a lot from you. :*

That large bag you wore with the black dress was my favorite thing in this video!!! Eek! I would flash everyone from the other side of my desk, and at the piano with dresses knee length or above. Longer skirts are just something I have to deal with. I love your videos. But I'm really struggling with visuals for proportions with some of your outfits. The colour theory I understand. But I have a very different body shape. I can't get the tucked in look to work with my noticeably large chest. Tucking just looks awkward as I would just rather hide my chest area. Do you know any fashion RU-vidrs or instagramers who have similar style that I might turn to for better visuals on proportion/body shape? Or maybe ideas on how to make the outfit lines a bit more modest. That would be appreciated just as much! You had great looks for autumn/winter in that regard.

I never used to tuck either for the same reason but I now do and really like it. I only do it when I add another layer though so like a longer sleeveless jacket or a longer cardigan or duster. This way you get that hint of shape form the tucked in top but you're covering your chest with the looser third layer aswell as your bottom.
