I always think he was worse originally, because her plan was just to annoy him. At the beginning she wasn't so crazy, she only annoyed him. She went bigger because he wouldn't leave, however HIS plan was to make her fall in love, deeply as he said, and then dump her :/ because (at first) he was faking interest.
That's not true. There was nothing about him having to dump her, just make his boss believe that she was in love with him. It's still shitty but no worse than what she was doing imo. They're both being scummy. She definitely did more damage over all lol
@@JHowesitgoing123no bro, disingenuously trying to make someone fall in love with you is not comparable to irritating a dude who never loved you in the first place.
Where did you get that he has to dump her? Although I guess it is a possibility and likely. I think when you watch it though, what he has to go through is psychological torture, while she gets love (even if fake), but if he were to then dump her, then she would then also suffer
Since you guys aren't familiar with Kate Hudson, that means you haven't seen Almost Famous 😊😊😊 70s rock stars and one of my favorite movies of all time
In this movie, while they both do bad things I feel like the guy is slightly more in the wrong. Andi is trying to get rid of her guy, she's expecting him to get fed up and leave after a day or two, and only escalates when he doesn't. If he wasn't in it for his job, he probably would have said bye to her after their first nicks game. But Ben is actively trying to attract Andi, to make her fall in love, and then presumably kick her to the curb afterwards (if they hadn't fallen for each other) which is a much meaner thing to do to someone, to manipulate their feelings just for your own gain. Yes both are being manipulative and untruthful, but falling in love and then being betrayed is more painful than going on a bad date and then never having to interact with them again.
I love this movie. It takes a classic premise - dude takes on bet to emotionally manipulate a woman - and adds the karmic twist that she's not just a victim but rather an opponent trying to emotionally manipulate him back. And that yellow dress is iconic.
The whole point of her making him go get a drink during the game is she's trying to drive him insane and push him away as fast as possible cuz she's got to get rid of him in 10 days.
I'm with Zuff on this one-- it's cringey, but I find it hilarious! Maybe it's harder for men in general to watch this movie and laugh, but I love the parts when she's trying to scare him away. It's so over the top and absurd that it surpasses the bounds of reality for me. Then again, I've never been that sensitive to second-hand cringe, so who's to say!
okay but despite the secondhand embarrassment, they have great chemistry together, like they were on fire in their physical scenes together. and the cringe comedy is actually really funny even though it is hella embarrassing lmao
"How to help your brother"🤦😂 Her behavior kept getting more and more cringe because no matter what she did, he wouldn't dump her. Even she was like "What the Hell?" I loved Kate Hudson in this.
You"ve got to see Matthew in A Time to Kill and Kate in Almost Famous. Both films launched their careers. While you are at it see Kate's Mom (Goldie Hawn) and her non-bio Dad (Kurt Russell) in Overboard. Hilarious! Great to see you guys enjoying romcoms!
She was awful but, to be fair, his plan was to find a woman to manipulate into falling in love with him presumably without reciprocating the feelings and then breaking her heart so he kind of got what was coming to him. haha.
i literally searched for reactions to this movie today at lunch what the hellllll, I'm excited to see your reactions!!! (also consider watching my best friend's wedding if you haven't seen it already, it's very good!!)
So all three of you need to watch Fools Gold next. Both Matthew & Kate are in this. Their on screen chemistry is so awesome 😎 - The Prophetess Nastacia
Now y'all need to watch Fools Gold with them in it. They have such good on screen chemistry. Also Failure to Launch with Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker is a good one too
I swear zuff missed the part in the beginning that layed out her plan and why she needed to show “how to lose a guy in 10 days” by doing ALL the most annoying things women (or men) do to lose somebody 😂😂😂😂 hilarious!
lmaooo at "I hate this" when she started being annoying. Every time I see this movie I enjoy it but hate when she acts annoying because they have such good chemistry its like girl enjoy it don't ruin it! but I guess that's the point lol
“Where are you going?” “I have an interview. “Yeah in Washington I know.” Bryce-“Why? I’m right here!” ❤ you guys have an awesome response to “bullshit” 😂
"why is she doing this???" Movies called "How to lose a guy in ten days" 😂😵💫😆 omg the singing part I always skip it, I can't handle the second hand embarrassment 😬
I think you guys should watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! If you haven’t already I finally watched it last night and I absolutely loved it. It came out in 2004, and it has Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey in it!
Guys I loved your reactions! I never saw this movie watching a men point of view and I was dying on seeing how uncomfortable you guys got from Andie’s actions. Thank you!!!
Ahhh this is a classic lol, glad you guys enjoyed it!!! EDIT: I also think it'd be funny if you guys reacted to Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL lmao. Matthew plays Dallas in the first one and he's so hot *fans self* Don't get me wrong, Channing, Matt Bomer and Big D!ck Richie are gorgeous too but I love Dallas haha!!!
If you like the Kate Hudson/ Matthew McConaughey dynamic, check out "Fool's Gold". They play exes who go on a treasure hunting adventure in the Caribbean -- they're great in it!
Romantic comedy tips: Blast of the past (Alicia Silverstone and Brendan Fraser) Romancing the stone (Michael douglas and Danny Devito) The whole 9 yards (Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry)
Pls this movie is such a romcom but it also feels very dude coded(I literally don’t know how to explain it 💀), it honestly makes me laugh how cringy certain scenes are but that’s what makes it so funny plus it’s a great sleepover movie lol Bride Wars would also be such a fun reaction
The great thing about having cable was being able to have a channel on like USA, AMC or TBS and just letting movies play. Lol. You would’ve for sure seen this movie playing. I for one saw this in theaters with my older sister.
