I couldn’t find a whole lot of info on how to lubricate faders so I decided to make my own video. Cleaning these is pretty straightforward. You can use isopropyl alcohol if you’re concerned about damaging any parts with Deoxit or something more powerful. Use a Q-tip / cotton swab and be very gentle taking care not to leave any fibers behind.

Under the cap there’s a nice small tip. So you can reach all parts of the fader to lubricate..

track and contact fingers should not be greased. Only the inside of the metal housing. The track is to be deoxidized and cleaned only.

Take the cap off the fader grease syringe.. at first it goes kind of hard. Once taken of its a nice closing cap when you put it back on.

Hi Daniel. I have a technics sl 1200 turntable. It needs some lubraction on the pitch fader. Do you think it needs re greasing or does desol do the trick??

Im on this exact same topic. Just cleaned an sl1200mk2 pitch, using Tuner 600 and its a bit dried out..i might just try a tip of 3in1 oil but still searching for other results.. btw videos by DJ Legion have a great instruction. I think he uses Deoxit? To lube the tracks after cleaning..

@@undergroundmixsessions Yeah, I bought a bottle of deoxit fader f5 faderlube. Its a little expensive. but, it worked a real treat. However my 1200 MK5 is just really buttery smooth! and I cant unsee it now lol Its so weird, When these tturntables are in brand new condition, and 1 little thing happens, It stands out and even though its fixed, My OCD kicks in lol Thank you for the replay, and also for the heads up on the DJ legion videos. Much appreciated

Are you working on a Juno-106?

Good guess but it’s a Juno-60.

@@daniellewis5302 ahh.. that’s what got me. I have a Juno 6 and 106. The stepped HPF made me think 106. The innards of the LFO fader made me think Juno 6!

Sorry to say but you are using way too much, really waaaay too much, there should be hardly any lube in this type of fader.

I’d say I’ll use less next time but I hope to never do it again!
