Thank you so much for this video. I was born in the US. My dad died and my mom got sick before she could teach me how to make our motherland food. I feel confident now that I can make injera like how my mommy made it
i loveeee ethiopian food and i’m from the south. i live in Boston now and treat myself to a restaurant in Cambridge called. Asmara. the culture of your food is so pleasant. Sending your momma positive energy, health, wealth, love + abundance 💛
I saw an earlier request but I wanted to ask again. Can you do one with measurements with a smaller quantity. I would love to try and make this since I LOVE Ethiopian food. I've been watching video on it all day. Thank you
Thank you very much. The video is wonderful and everything is very clean, God willing, and the ingredients and preparation method are clear, but I have a simple note: It is preferable not to wash your hands over the dough and use a spatula. Good luck.😍🙏
Thank you very much for this video! I have a couple of questions if may. If I decide not to bake the whole batter that I prepared at once, how long can I save it in the refrigerator before it spoils? Second question is, if on the contrary I decide to bake the whole batch, how long will the baked injera stay fresh outside? or should I refrigerate it?
Yes I use hot water to mix the flour in the beginning and when it’s ready for the next steps you can boil the water or you could just use it from your Sink/tub water
I have a question. I made a big mistake and order whole grain teff instead of teff flour. I didn't notice my mistake until I had already mixed some water into it and let it ferment for a day. Can I spread the teff grains out on a sheet pan and dehydrate them again, and then grind it into flour in my blender? Teff is a bit expensive for me, and I was hoping not to waste it.
6:10 what is it that you are using to clean griddle? ... also what is starter? ... just for your information i'm an indian and i think after india's prime minister modi pushed for more millets in our diet i became interested in injera
Keep the starter outside until it forms some bubbles. Only the amount of starter you are going to use. It will make a lot of difference in the Injera. It will have more "eyes" on it.
