Fantastic video! 500whp is my goal and I've been piecing together information and specs to make it happen. I felt I was pretty close but this video really helped fill the gaps I was missing and gave me reassurance and confidence that I'm on the right track with this build. I can't thank you enough.
I still think cams are a waste of money on a stock block evo x. Alot of these stock framers like MHI 18k, and Gen 2 GTX’s make 450-500+ without then need for cams. But the best turbo kits for these cars are the EFR kits. Can’t beat the spool and power they make
Stock block stock turbo here with Kelford 214 B cams here and I can say they make a noticeable difference :) Planning on going bigger turbo down the track
Really appreciate the videos man! What are your thoughts on the GTX3076r gen 2 vs the GTX3576r gen 2. I’m a little worried about the spool on the 3576….would the 3076 spool faster and still make around 450-500whp?
The 3076 will get u there with a bit of faster spool and higher torque earlier. The 35 however is much more efficient and would gett vote. The spool is right , not late at all, u don't want a bunch of torque down low.
Mitsubishi post differences between the EVO X GSR & EVO X F.E....With the EVO X F.E. being more powerful. Have you worked on the two & if so would the set up to make power build up be different.
So, I changed my mind, I won't be going 660AWHP in my 2014 EVO X MR, I rather just bring it from 330AWHP to 440AWHP like the FQ440. So I think I will need just to upgrade the fuel system and a tune, the stock turbo has an upgraded 20G wheel! I'd rather not spend much more money into the engine and gearbox, 440AWHP daily driven Evo X on 95 pump gas is my goal.
@ccohen8 got new Wally 450 fuel pump installed, set of used ID 1050x injectors to be installed, now I am looking at changing out the alternator because it gives me electrical problems, can't floor it without the car bogging down, had installed a new battery but no dice, fuse box checked out and looks good. As soon as I fix this it goes on the dyno for another pro tune.
@Bennoit007 I finally got the car fixed! It was from the wiring harness. Swapped the Alternator and still had the issue, the garage brought a specialist and ruled out the problem. Runs like a champ 🏆 💪 😎. Now the gearbox is an sst, gives me shit sometimes but it's alright.
Subbed!! I’ve been looking for a channel for EVO and know there stuff I own a evo 5 TM edition in Rally Red. Left hand steering I would like help with , but because I was subbi guy even though I had a spec c the motors are totally opposite of one another…. I also have a Subaru STI V5 I love also left hand steering
I prefer Garretts over all other brands. Not to say AGT isn't good. As a consumer you should look at your budget first. I have had successes with AGT in the past and Tylor is a standup guy. That being said , I prefer Garretts over all other brands for almost all situations.
Okay this is my last question. What do you think of the xr7864s x3c uhf turbo? Or the 7164. That was my original decision over precision, but not much info on these xona turbos. Wanted to branch from something different
Hey man just subd I have a bone stock Evo x my second one. This one I want to build to 450-500whp but on 93. Is that possible ? Also so far I’m gathering parts so far I have ams wide mouth down pipe, ams performance intake so far. I want to get tomei exhaust system, will that be an issue with the AMS wide mouth ? Also what power can I get full bolt on except turbo just Inter cooler, upper and lower icp plus ic, bov ? Thank you hope to hear from you soon ! Ps I want to do a full AMS build just personal preference would love your opinion and feedback !
My question is, can an evo 10 stock engine with all your suggested parts you recommend, can this engine get to 500whp on 94 Oct? I'm in Toronto, Canada and we only have 94oct in our pumps. I don't have the time to go to parts store for fuel. I'm coming from kseries honda world so I'm comfortable pushing those motors. I just don't know about the evo 10 much and I'm looking to get one in the new year.
What is your experience with an FP RED turbo? I think it is specd similarly to a GTX 3076? Also, would a 3.5 inch intake help here as well? Thanks BD, I appreciate the content on this channel :)
Hey man, how does having the ets equal length headers top mount affect 3576r vs the tubular manifold stock orientation setup in terms of spool? Also with the ets 4" intake and 3.5 maf adapter. I feel on equal length headers you lose some spool as its more free flowing lower range but develops more power up top, is this correct? Or negligible difference?
I'm going to do everything you said except cams but I don't have e85 in my area it's like 3 hours away can I make it on 93 even if it doesn't make 500whp but 420 is good for me
Been trying to get one of these for so long have a question is it on e85 or pump 93 that you're making 500 wheel horsepower? When I get mine I was planning on going with the 18K Mitsubishi heavy industries turbo
@@bdalchemist right now my car has 140kmiles and my tune is next week would it be safe still to push around 480whp and keep the torque low around 350 to 360 torque? would it still last long? thank you!! i dont stop watching your vidoes!!
Do you see that big of difference between the 3” vs the 3.5” intake? I have a ets 3” intake on my GTX3576r on 93 tune and was wondering if it was worth the upgrade to the larger maf size.
Could I cheap out on a turbo in the sense of journal bearing vs ball bearing? I understand that ball bearing is better at higher G driving, but they are extremely costly for what seems barely any performance gains for the type of driving I am doing.
What would you suggest I want to make 450whp to 500whp on stock motor I have a 2011 Evo x I just bought FIC 1200cc injectors and AEM 320 fuel pump I want to get bigger turbo not sure if I should do gtx3576r or 3582r but I feel 82r might be over kill to big of turbo what do you think
@@bdalchemist okay so as of now I would have gtx3582r turbo , FIC 1200cc , AEM 320 fuel pump , UICP ,ACT clutch ,MAP 3in or 3.5 intake , Either MAP downpipe or AMS widemouth downpipe and high flow test pipe , would you add anything else and would this bring me around 400whp on 93
Ahhh. So you just need the upper hard piping huh? Don't need the bottom intercooler piping do you? I plan on going 3.5 AMS for the sake of it needs no tune to run it. So that's made my build list cheaper.
