Just like the Brandon Carter episodes, this one was tailor made for me. Just got my CDL 8 months ago and been driving an 18 wheeler professionally for the last 7. Been OTR to 44 states and am making more now than i ever have in my life along with recruiters constantly hitting me up for more opportunities. Ive got my sights set on 3 once I get my year in, and haven't decided yet on which one I'm going to take. In either case, I'll be making 110k+ once I get that year in. I took my Hazmat Endorsement test and aced it 100% on the firsr shot last month. I'll be picking it up tomorrow in my home towns P.O Box. Afterwards I'll be heading to the DMV to pass my Tanker endorsement test to add that to my license as well. I absolutely owned 2022, 2023 and I will own 2024 as well. 💯 Let's work fellas 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

@HumbleHurricane

@Sn1peSh0t112 me being a single man with no kids, you already have the wrong mindset my guy. Worrying about days off is the reason so many of us aren't making that money already. Just being 💯. "Greater Later." Shout out to Brandon Carter. Put in the heavy work up front so that you can EARN those days off later and reap the benefits of your labor. AKA Earn Your Leisure. If you're a new father, you should have been grinding twice as hard as me well before your child got here. I've literally been grinding, planning, networking, taking notes, sacrificing HEAVILY, taking huge leaps of faith, destroying my comfort zones, lived out of my car for 4 years, got mentors while also mentioning others etc to ensure I intentionally put myself INTO position to be a deadly unshakable force for my children once I DO have them. I'm doing what it takes to make it happen while also keeping my moves aligned with my goals/passions that I excel at. Everything I'm doing is set on a path to get me where I ultimately aim to be when I have 4+ sources of income/passive income. Before anything else my brotha, shift that mindset to doing whatever it takes to solidify the future for yourself and your child. "Do what others aren't willing to do right now, so that you can do what others aren't able to do later" Whatever it takes ✊🏿💯🔥

@Sn1peSh0t112 if you're interested in trucking you might be able to find something local where you're home every night, fresh out of cdl school. Check food service companies. You'll make 100k or close but you gonna work for every penny, making deliveries unloading product at each stop. I started driving 7 years ago, my first job was in the the food service industry. Physical work, you're home every night and usually I'd be so tired I'd go straight to sleep but I won't trying to go over the road..

This episode has been a long time coming and really opened my eyes to the fact that us men need to be focused on infrastructure/trade jobs instead of dreaming about becoming an artist/creator like most of us have. Trades are one of the most solid paths to becoming a millionaire that a man can do. On top of being useful, ethical, and masculine work unlike a lot of the arts/social media work.

I owe a paint company and had one for 12 years before moving out of the country for 4 years. I came back after a divorce, with nothing to my name, but my tools. I was able to rebuild my life in just 2 years. I have my kids 50% of the time and work the other 50%. I am able to afforrd a house on the bayside and raise 2 kids with working only half the time. Key is to specialize within the trade and stack equipment. I mainly do historic restoration and high end finishes.

@DiceRoller96 I work in Florida. I originally was trained to paint in NJ and learned historic restoration there. Alot of it involves plaster work, trim fabrication, finish carpentry, restoring the original window and lead paint removal. Yes, there is a lot of money in it. It takes specialized training though and it's easy to screw up and damage something.

You can get a loan and apply for a grant to get your cdl and I got mine in 3 weeks. The main benefit is fewer hours and less traveling. There are a lot of options out there in medical. I've got a buddy that had an undergrad in Chemistry and he went into a Nurse Anesthesia program. Insane amounts of money there. Just if you go back to school make sure you can make a living with whatever degree you pick up. Been doing this 10 plus years am mid 30’s age wise. Am also the union steward for my plant now. You can get your CDL for free depending on your state. Talk to the workforce of your state tell them your interested in getting your cdl. First interiew is to see your serious and see if it a good fit. Then for me was math, english and drug test. Then process begun, 3 weeks. If your state doesnt have it, get a liscense in another state where you got a friend or family. DO NOT GET A CDL THROUGH A TRUCKING COMPANY. Also do not take advice from truckers who do not have investments. I listened to investing videos, stock info and fresh n and fit while i drove. A trade people dont commonly talk about is plant operators and data center technicians. These jobs pay very well. In addition to this look up nerc certifications and they offer 3 types for power distribution operators. They work 4 12 hour shifts a week sitting in a ac room monitoring and controlling the power grid, like homer. and clear 120 k a year. Rc cert pays the best 15k for the training and test worth the investment. Also x ray techs that get a associates in that field make 90k a year on average.

Just to squash the bit if misinformation about plumbers, you can't (at least in my state) get your journeyman license in 6 months. It requires proof if 8000 hours worked to even apply for the license test. But, most people with a journeyman license are knocking on the door of 6 figures if they aren't the master license holder for a shop. And he's right plumbers and electricians are allergic to each other. But there's a level of unspoken respect between them because they are 2 of the highest paid trades and the schooling required for each.

As a family man not worth it . I’m a foreman for a fire sprinkler service company at 25 have every cert available and it’s a dead end . If you are not willing to give most your life to it you are fired and construction community inside huge city’s is so small that all the owners golf together and talk so it’s the same old crab in a bucket analogy. If you are looking for a decent career then yes but if you are hungry for more don’t.
