On an architectural shingle roof on a 2/12 pitch(entire roof covered in Ice & Water) removing shingles is impossible(for me anyway). How far from the edge of the shingle above it should I make sure the nails in the lower shingle are from the edge. I know I said that wrong but the people who put the roof on 15 or so years ago put some nails to close to the edge of the keyway(where the shingles meet) and even with the ice and water we are starting to get some water spots in our den ceiling. No drips just a stain that is slowly getting bigger. Thank you sir, appreciate your channel.
Hey Brian! Bryan? Idk, anyway man, thanks for your videos sir! I have been climbing cell towers since 2015 up until just a few months ago doing some rough work. I got into roofing sales with an awesome reputable company because I had no work life balance @ my other job with my wife and kids(amazing money but not worth the time away from fam). I watch your videos every day so I can learn from you. We have an awesome install crew and repair guy so I basically just sell and kiss babies now. But I watch your stuff every day because the info I get off this channel literally helps me as a sales guy in my day to day and I’ve been able to explain something’s that I’ve learned from your channel to homeowners & most the time they tell me “no roofer has ever mentioned that” or “we had no idea”. Just your knowledge alone and explanations have helped my understanding of this side of the construction industry. I never try and pretend I’m an expert and if the homeowner has a question I can’t answer I ask my team that have been installing and doing it for years. But you just come out with some awesome little tid bits of knowledge in every video which doesn’t not go under-appreciated or unnoticed! Thank you my friend! I hope I can shake your hand one day and buy you a beer.
Haha It's Brian with an (i) the proper way! 😆 I joke with my brother-in-law which is with a (y). I really do appreciate the feedback, I'm glad the videos can help people! RU-vid has helped me learn over the years so that's what I'm putting them out there for. I do like a good beer, that could be a possibility, where are you watching from?
Hello, i just started my Business and its a Roof Service Business and i like your Vids because they are direct and help me explain to clients better without over explaining . i under sell myself and my work but i need jobs bad , i had to quit my Roofing job because of Bullying at the Vice-President level. im struggling for work so i go door to door to get clients so i can have a pay check for my large family. i will continue to use your method of patience and knowledge to be able to hire help with these jobs. Its a little difficult by myself but pays well. LeakNoMore LLC, no threat to you im just starting out.
Based on your recommendation, I bought a set of those ladder stand-offs. I love the extra stability they give. Not too sure how well the foam pads will hold up over time, but I'll still use them even when the foam pads depart.
I never realized you can get your nail placement right by looking at the split in the tabs, very cool. I don't roof but I might end up patching something someday, it's good to know a little bit about how to do it, thanks man. I'm going to fix a small leak in the morning at a nail and look around and see why it's getting in there, I appreciate the videos.
I have a business question? Do u have a Mexican crew? And if so do u insure them? Or are they subs? If so do they have their own insurance? And if they do. Do they have workers comp as one of their policies?
