Cool, but folding backwards would be better. Otherwise the side visibility is poor!

What if power goes off while the digits are changing as they would get stuck in the middle?

Servos have feedback so you are able to command them to a specific position (angle in degrees). He doesn't show his code, but I suspect that when first powered on, his software commands all servos to their "home" (zero) position.

With just some simple cardboard, glue, a masters in electronics and programming, You too can make this clock for 5 times what it would cost to buy one off the shelf!
