It sounds really like 9th wonder and i also love the setup with all those plants!!!💯 Maybe another tip is to use a lot of vocal samples, often pitched up
One of my absolute favourite producers of all time and the one that got me into making beats. Thanks for the video, instasubbed ;) Looking forward to more vids 🌠
Definitely has 9th Wonder vibes. Awesome job my man! Would love to see this type of video for Pete Rock type beats. It would also be nice to see how you’re chopping each cut, like on the 1 or on the kick or snare. This would be very useful.
The studio looks great, Ryan. The foliage really compliments the room and gives it that organic feel. I am also a fan of 9th Wonder. The beat sounded great. The only thing I would have added would have been some vocals from the original record and had it pitched up. But that is merely my opinion. You are a far more advanced producer than I am, so who am I to really say. Blessings!
Stumbled across this video. Amazing work. I have many tips for you. The one I'll leave here is I put a high pass filter on my sample to remove all lower bass frequencies so the only bass you'll be hearing is the bass notes I play. Again great vid fam. 🦅🦅🦅
Ryan? You should consider buckling down and doing a couple of separate videos specifically focusing on how to properly sample and process your drums and bass. A lot of beatmaking youtubers neglect to teach those fundamental production aspects. I've yet to see an actual quality video in RU-vid properly teaching hip hop drum and bass sampling and processing techniques, and how to effectively incorporate it while creating a beat. That would help a ton of beginners, if the aim of your channel is to actually teach people the basics of hip hop production.
Thanks for this suggestion! I am going to think about how and I could execute this and potentially make a few "starting from scratch" videos. Thanks for the support!
You did an awesome job my friend! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. We appreciate it! Btw what bass sound did you use? I just got my mpc live and I am still searching for a good boom bap bass sound . Thx again you are awesome
How I d love that you dive into 20syl production technique, even if not that many people know about him, to me he s an absolute genius, if you ever have a chance to listen to him, unless you Know him already :)
Bro you’re an absolute beast. I just started on the MPC One a month ago. The learning curve is tough! Any tutorials that you suggest that you found helpful?
You need to get an Akai Force , its basically a similar (but more free) software to what you are already using but you have 64 pads to work with , so thats more slices and more chops and really no need to use banks. 9th wonder was my favorite producer for a long time I really enjoyed this .
@@RYANMAKESBEATS Yes it’s standalone and the software is basically just like the mpc software but it’s a little more daw like than the mpc software in my opinion .Mpc software definitely has a few advantages but in terms of ease of use I personally find Akai Force to be easier to use. MPC has a full daw that goes a long with it . Where as Akai Force doesn’t have any accompanying software besides Ableton. Also the arranger mode in the Akai Force is also pretty cool . Force is pretty much a blend of Ableton and MPC software .
Hey i just got my mpc one, but i kinda hvae too high expectations of myself, or setting my own bar to high. I always get an idea of how i would want it to sound, try to imitate it, fail miserably and give up : /
Hey man, psyched to hear you picked up an MPC! Trying to turn your ideas into a beat can be tough and it can get frustrating. At the end of the day, just make sure you are enjoying your self when making music. When it starts to feel like work, that is when I walk away for a couple hours. When I come back to it with a fresh mind it can help a lot!! Thanks for watching!
