This is how you make a Balloon Rocket!
This is a science experiment from my book Stay Curious and Keep Exploring and is great for kids ages 5-12.
Materials You'll Need
Book: amzn.to/41waqKp
Straw: amzn.to/3W51mv5
String: amzn.to/3M2V62j
Tape: amzn.to/3o19m3C
Balloon: amzn.to/41AQyGb
Instructions
(1) Tape one end of your string up high (this can be a chair, or a railing, or even the ceiling)
(2) Cut the other end so that it's long enough for a balloon to travel across (this will really depend on the size of the room you're in. I would just make it as long as possible!)
(3) Cut a straw so that it is about 3 inches long. Tape that to your balloon and ensure that it makes a straight line from the top of your balloon to the bottom.
(4) Thread the string through the straw. If you like, you can tape the other end of the string to the floor, or anywhere else that is level with, or lower, to the end of the string. You could also simply hold it like I do in the video!
(5) blow up your balloon. Release!
Your balloon should travel 10 feet or more!
