Before I knew much about lace front wigs, I bought a basic cap wig with a hard front, from China. The style is not usable without a lace front. So today I take an Aliexpress wig and try out a few RU-vid hacks to make it look more natural. I watched lots of videos, and decided to try several tricks to save it. Watch and see what happens!

I think you did a good job. I know I have seen other wig RU-vidrs actually convert a non-lace wig into a lace front wig. When you brought out that streamer, it looked like a blow torch. hehehehe! It works! I need to get me one of those. I will have to check out the wigs on Ali Express. Thanks for all of the tips!

i appreciate the A for effort; however, I don't think it did much to make it look better. There's a lot to be said for a lace front wig! But, you were a delight to watch!!!

Excellent video 👍🏻💕 I’m bald! I have that problem because the only wig I have looks fake and horrible with that bump! I appreciate your video and the tips!!! 😉🌸💖. I would also like to know what I can do or how to fix that it's bigger than my head, the problem that the seams of the extensions on the sides make bumps and I have to be tucking them in with my fingers because they come out and that's a disaster!!!!! 😭😓 And yes! Mine is from Ali express too 👍🏻💖 and it’s pretty much better!

Hmmmm…. Well I assume you have the adjusters in the back tightened up, if it has those? Also, sometimes nicer wigs have a bendable piece of metal called a “stay” in the ear tabs… you’d want to bend this toward your head, and that can possibly help. My other suggestion is to get a wig grip… I got mine from Amazon, and my review video of Estetica’s Sky wig has the direct link. It’s a velvet headband that can also take up a little room in your wig and helps it to stay in place all day on me. You can “do surgery” and sew up a little of the back part to help take up some of the bagginess… I’ve not tried this yet but there are lots of videos on here on how to fix a baggy wig. Lastly… I’ve ordered the small circular ice packs off Amazon, and if I had a little extra room in my cap, I’d certainly put one of those ice packs up in there to keep me extra cool on these hot texas days!! Mine came with a little sock that insulates it from sitting directly on your scalp. Let me know if any of this helps!! Also, a great affordable line of wigs is the Hairdo line. They are around $100 on Amazon, but I’ve seen sales where they were half that on certain colors. This line is one of my faves… it’s the same company that makes Raquel Welch wigs, which are fabulous! ♥️

Fun experiment video. You can also use eyeshadow colors instead of root sprays to either blend your bio hair with the wig or even to change colors of the wig roots. And it's easier to manage where you are putting it. You had me laughing out loud at your industrial size steamer🤣
