Bought this ru-vid.comUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub to use in a photo shoot and it is so cute. Looks just like a picture and is easy to assemble.
Shouldn't the panel be raised up from the floor slightly to prevent water being sucked into the bottom edge? I would have given at least 10 mm clearance from the floor.
Thanks for your reply, Buffalo DIY. I'm about to change my bath panel and will probably use plywood, but I'm also slowly coming round to using well sealed MDF. Haven't decided yet. There's not a lot of difference in the cost these days.
@@oldproji MDF is horrible material to use in bathroom. I used MDF skirting board raised slightly of the ground with bathroom paint. Was rotten to the core within 6 months. MDF soaks up water like a sponge.
leaving the plastic side panel but doing the front panel in wood looks so naff. and the screws are showing at the bottom. He didnt even use concealed screws and wood filler.
this is like watching a nostalgic 50's DIY programme. You can get professional looking bath panels on ebay with fantastic finishes with mirror strips or storage doors for around £50 on ebay, I know that marine ply is very expensive so it doesn't make sense really to make it yourself, besides it never looks as good as a professional one. Screws showing, the side panel left with the plastic on. So naff!
