@@KJDOT each battery has under optimal circustances 2Ah*4V=8Wh *3 batteries is 24Wh constant heating , so 1h -1,5h is realistic

If by "simple battery" you mean shorting a battery to heat up a heating element with all the control of a single switch, then nah. There are plenty of videos showcasing that already, and it's a pretty simple idea anyways that literally anyone could figure out - if you short the battery, heat is produced. This video is on a higher level if you *do* have that kind of a budget and time - and know that you can get a real cordless iron for about $30, but want to have fun learning and want to be able to modify and customize their project WHILE MAKING A MUCH SAFER IRON, then this is the way to go. One video I've seen of shorting a battery to make a cordless iron used an extremely unsafe Li-ion cell to power it. Li-ion cells typically have discharge ratings of over 20A, and are normally used with Battery Management Systems (BMSs) or balance chargers. Everything about that design would be awful - shorting the cell would lead to thermal runaway in which the cell releases a combusting toxic gases and liquids, and the cell voltage is unprotected - so if you were to discharge it too far (about below 3V for li-ion cells) it would shorten the life of the cell or render it unusable. Please do your research before making such a "simple bettery soldiering iron" - ignorance while shorting batteries could kill ya QUICK.

@@KJDOT Why not may use 936 Handle? Why in components Five core wire cable on 1:16 , but on 6:52 you cut Green, Blue and White wires, and soldering only Red and Black wires? How 616 module use T12 thermocouple without third White wire? I do not understand!

@@alex_al54_tk the t12 tip is very simple just need positive and ground because the thermocouple is connected in series with the heating element.. The remaining 3 wire is for vibration switch and E for earth I guest.. please correct me..

开关如果从外边插进去就会使开关高于外壳，有误触的几率，开关在里边安装，让开关低于外壳，可以降低误触的几率

This board has a temperature controller, you can easily change the temperature by using that potentiometer. It's a ok design but the wiring is a mess and surely a fire hazard.
