The Barber of Seville is extremely appropriate and I think would fit in any "make" video. I fell in love with the grain of that piece. Bring back the weirdness!
started watching this thinking, I've got to make one of these. then I see how the bristles are done and now I think maybe I'll look for one on amazon or something. great work and even greater patience guys.
Hm, I never saw bristles glued in nearly individually, only saw a brushmaker once using a bundle of bristles and a thin wire, bending them over the wire in a U shape and forcing the resulting U into the whole, it held there without glue. there must be a thousand differnet ways to make a brush depending on the purpose, hair/bristles used.
Thanks. You just helped me a bit for my new brush concept for wavers. Still have more to workout since it's not going to be a traditional brush. It's going to conform to the hand more. That's the only hint I can give until I get it patented
ok, this is the perfect way to end my day, woodworking and a beard related one, and finally, amazing piano music timed perfectly with the process. Hats up to you guys, you're geniuses.
Hi Giaco! What did you use to get the hair to stick inside, super glue? Thank you! so beautiful! I'm thinking about making a small climbing brush instead :-)
Firstly, MASSIVE respect for both keeping a straight face in that last shot.... how many takes did it take to get that? Secondly, that's a genuinely interesting build, I'd have never even thought about hand sticking bristles in a brush, out of curiosity how long did it take to stick them all in?
Thom Pascoe I would love to meet some of these people that go around and thumbs down videos, and see what really is going on in their minds...might not be worth my time tho lol 😂
Wow, what a gorgeous piece that turned out to be, and what an amazing amount of patience you have to put all those boar hairs in. We're sure your beard grew quite a bit during the time it took to put them all in! Fantastic video as always! PS, does Bugs Bunny know you used his music?
That is incredible!! So well done. I wish I could hit the like button more than once. Maybe once you transport all your industrial gear you can make another one entirely with cncs, lasers, robots and the force.
Thank you for always making such great stuff! It's always really inspiring and fun to see what you can do with just one little piece of wood! Also, whenever I hear the Barber of Seville, I can't help but think about that one episode of Bugs Bunny. xD Combined with the amazing content and cinematography, this makes my day complete!
It would be nice to get some more details because it looks amazing, like size and the spacing between the holes for the bristles and the size of those holes
Gorgeous, I made a brush by hand for climbing. It was hard to put those hairs in for sure, I see one guy said you could use a funnel. Any other tips for this beardless brush maker?
how come you didn't just tie bundles of hair in the middle, pull them through a thinner block of wood (thus doubling the amount of hair from each bundle and getting a tighter fit) and then glue a back onto the brush to finish it?
