Best source for beginners (and I'm sure experienced people too) hands down. Learned so much from you man! Also, that hoodie thing is dope and I want one haha Thanks for all the help!
Your presentation goes from a generic library option display 1:37 to a different Library screen showing other options and an "Alchemy" set of options (2:10) with no explanation as to how that happened. Is there another video I can watch that gives more of blow-by-blow as to how to navigate library options and doesn't assume I know how to get to the "Alchemy" options?
Hey Charles, please do a tutorial on how guitar strumming can be programmed. Various strumming patterns. (The guitars don't sound very authentic when played through MIDI)
Thanks for the suggestion Snehil. I'm editing a video on how to use guitars in logic right now. I didn't cover strumming patterns but this is something I can make in the future for you.
A really good beat you made there in the end. :-) And very good tip to keep the drums simple, as u said, when u add some instruments, its all coming together!
Bro! You explain very simple, good and interesting that's why I'm watching you and listen what said with each detail about creating a music! I created already 3 tracks by your tutorial from the last week until today with my first beginning aaaand it's amazing!))) I have a question ⁉️ about one think: how to create a track which one will sound as a standard music in all platforms with the same sound quality...? Because i made my own tracks, but it's are a quiet sounding than it should be as a standard sound as a balance!!! And also i recommend you to keep moving forward with your good creative what you doing now!!! This is an invaluable experience!!!
I generally don't comment on other people's videos, I'm more of a silent watcher! I'm a songwriter from Italy, and right now I'm really trying to learn how to use Logic; I found your channel thanks to a quick research on RU-vid, and I'm really glad I did because your videos are helping me a lot in learning how to use these amazing tools! Keep up and good job!
I will be very ungrateful if I done thank you for all your lessons in logic pro X…. Thank you so much it helps me a lot. I really wish to write you personally❤ but I am much more grateful.
Hey Charles, thanks for uploading this. Are you able to show us how to make a hip hop beat that sounds more electric, if that makes sense? Like a trap style beat or something similar
Hi Charles :) I just started using logic and your videos are really helpful. I'm wondering is it compulsory to have a midi keyboard or can i make beats without one? Thanks :)
Hey Phoebe, happy to help. Join us sometimes on the livestream. These are all great questions! I would recommend getting a midi keyboard. It’s not compulsory but it’s a heck of a lot more fun. For the time being if you don’t have one you can use musical typing or drawing the notes in n
could you do a video on how to save a drum kit once you've assigned the drum pads on the midi keyboard? I keep losing the settings and have no idea how to save them... but your video's are helping a bunch... thanks
why does drum machine designer and step sequencer make my kicks so quiet? i am having a hard time getting my kicks to sound the way i want them to. whenever i drag in a kick from my file library straight into logic as an audio file or in ultrabeat, it KNOCKS as it should. however, whenever i drag in a kick into the drum machine designer, step sequencer, or sampler, it is significantly quieter. what am i doing wrong? i don't want to add EQ or compressors because the way it sounds by default is already good.
Hi. Your vids. are great. Thank you for making them. Unfortunately, I do not have a MIDI controller (yet). Can you please teach how I can make drum beats (singer/songwriter) from scratch without a MIDI controller? When I open Logic Pro, I am lost when it comes to figuring out the drums. I can't even find the place that you started in this vid. Is that because I don't have MIDI? (Or, because I am that much of a beginner??). Thank you for your time and patience.
Hey Dave, you can use something called musical typing if you don’t have a midi controller. A midi controller is only useful for the ease to play sounds that are available in logic. You don’t necessarily need one but it is easier. Have you tried GarageBand first? I have a video in making beats in GB coming soon.
@@CharlesCleyn Thanks very much for your reply, Charles. I decided to call Apple Support, and they walked me through it. I'll look forward to more of your vids.
Wenn jemand das hier lesen kann, dann ist er vielleicht auch interessiert daran bei einem deutschen Tutorial Beats auf Logic zu lernen: Tay Tutorials (trap beats) macht das ganz gut. Er muss nur mehr Posten 👌
Hi. 🙂 Thanks for putting this video together. Please, let us pray together. Dear God who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever in Jesus Christ's name we pray amen. 1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love. Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. May all suffering end as we give thanks this day. May God's face shine upon us forever on Earth as it is in Heaven in Jesus Christ's name we pray for His name and for His sake. Amen.
Been watching so many videos on Logic Pro this one by far is gonna help a bunch especially when you said “ it’s best to just play around w things and find out what sounds good” that literally was always the best way and I was always told not to
Thanks for all advices. Logic Pro X is so intuitive to use. I just created this new music creation. Enjoy 😎. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yqtXSIKGlFU.html
Hey Charles love all your videos it has really been helping me. I was an artist years ago I made hip hop rap music and made my own beats on fruit loops. I was very good and even tho I got addicted to heroin and went to prison I lost touch but I'm clean now 4 years and now how money to invest in what I love. I buying logic and all my equipment as soon as I feel comfortable with knowing my way around logic and using everything and you have been a huge help. I know I will make some amazing music once I get things going ive always been very good at rapping and beats and logic has huge sound options I know its gonna be dope af thanks.
You’re welcome Alek. I also have a video coming out next week that shows you how to make a bear with the step sequencer in Logic. So that might be good for you as well.
This is fine. BUT it brings up a question for me. Is the value higher in a happy accident through tech? Or in an idea being brought to fruition through the composers thought process having learned to use the tech?
question bro so after i make a bass track I cant seem to get it to align with my hihats one keeps playing before the other but my goal is to get them to play at the same time or I might get them to play at the same time but when its time to repeat its totally off how can I fix this?
Great video, thanks for posting. I have been using “Band in the Box” for a while. In “Band in the Box”, I enter in the chords to a tune and the app provides a bass and drums line. Can one do this in Logic Pro? In Logic Pro, I would like to make a drum beat , and code in a bass line. Can Logic Pro do that? Thanks
