Your lay out is going to the level George Selios created. Really beautifull.

I can't explain it - I have no plans to get into wood house modeling and I don't have a train set and I build paper models, but no houses but mainly old vehicles, but I have been a subscriber for years and get a fuzzy feeling every time I watch your videos. I know it has something to do with the fact that your kits are made from real wood, which is such a warm, friendly material. And then of course, I really like your friendly manner of presentation. I know, I sound like a broken record, but I have to get that out ever so often...lol! Please keep them coming...!!!

Jason, another fantastic video, and this time with three builds in one! Watching your structure builds over the past few years has taught me so much, and after some practice on some other kits, I am in the middle of my first FSM kit which happened to belong to my grandfather. I think he would be proud. Thanks for the inspiration, and sharing your techniques - Keep up the great work! -John

Jason, thanks for the up-close demo of your painting technique. We all learn so much from the processes you've shown us. I have a question; when you use a wire brush or saw for wood grain, do you get fuzzies? Do you do anything to eliminate them? Thanks.

Jason of the best stain what combination do you think would recreate creosoted wood?
@yrunaked4
@yrunaked4 Год назад
thats an amazing question. Creosote when its new, is so dark I'm not sure a stain could represent it accurately
@TheSonofruss
@TheSonofruss Год назад
@@yrunaked4 as I am trying to replicate older wood I feel the parts that are in contact with the “ground” will have it to stave off rot, and in the off chance that I build a wood trestle that is also a way to depict it as almost every wood trestle is ether raw aged grey or a wood tone.
@yrunaked4
@yrunaked4 Год назад
@@TheSonofruss A feature that utility poles usually have is after they age, the creosote tends to run down the pole with time and often will be darker at the bottom and more sun bleached at the top.

The only way I could make an impact on my [future] layout is by becoming Jason Jensen, which I cannot do 😆 I guess I will continue enjoying your videos and maybe some day I will be able to implement some of the knowledge you share here. Have a Happy New Year!!!

FOS's KOMs occasionally come on sale on eBay. They generally sell for between $45 and $60, depending on the kit. I recently picked up a Kruiswyck Coal (KOM #8) - which I had been looking for for years.

Brilliant kit builds Jason, really enjoyed watching, I love all the crusty looks to the structures and the signs on the walls really bring the buildings alive. There are still a couple of weeks left in the year, how many more kit builds can you fit in, just joking 👍❤️
