In Milwaukee, they paved-over the cobblestone alleys in the downtown area (they tore the cobbles out on the main roads). The asphalt that they paved over the alleys with is long since gone except at the edges, and the alleys are now back to the incredibly durable cobbles. It is very interesting how the asphalt tapers from the edges only where there are structures down to the cobbles. Where there is a parking lot or any other open area, the cobbles go right to the edge because the asphalt was not protected by a structure.

hey Jason, have you used Woodland Scenics realistic water? i'm about to, i've used it before, so i'm familiar w/the process. but..i want to add debris to my streets and pour realistic water also. don't know if i should glue debris in place 1st, or pour 1st, then glue (w/elmer's) onto the realistic water. if i glue the debris in place, then pour, i'm afraid the water won't be able to self-level. thank you for your work, it's effing awesome.

Scale model property owners never take care of their property. Roofs have bad shingles, windows are broken, buildings are dirty and haven't been painted in 50 years, You never see a scale building owner who takes pride in his property. Never see a freshly painted, well maintained building with no garbage in the yard.

Jason, a great video on adding that extra layer of very fine details. When you add your traffic lights permanently, you will need to add lines to the road9s) to indicate where the cars need to actually stop on red, don't want any accidents..... The pigeon painting is very fine, and came out great. Thank you for sharing. Cheers, and keep safe, Michael

Jason, thanks for all you do to support the hobby. You have significantly improved my modeling skills and upped my motivation over the last few years. I like the new lamp post and traffic signal details. Have you considered making a kit version that would allow us to put LEDs in them to add a little automation to our layouts? Perhaps you could choose a standard LED form factor so that you wouldn't have to get into the electronic supply business. Or, of course, you could supply it all. Cheers.
