In this video, Mike Pitt demonstrates the set up for how to make a bigger turn in your golf swing. If you are an older golfer or lack mobility, making a complete back swing will be challenging but by simply changing the set up, you will be able to make a bigger turn to the top.

Great vids!…What about flaring/opening the back foot? In most of your videos, I see a square/closed position. What’s your take on that?

No matter how old you are, a full turn or as far as you can possibly go is fundamental to getting your best distance. It becomes harder when you're older but these tips help you to use the flexibility you have in your body for as long as possible. Cheers Mike.

Hi Mike. Your thoughts on flaring out the lead foot at address and then raising the lead heel on the backswing
@GolfPitt
@GolfPitt 11 месяцев назад
Not a big fan of flaring the front foot. It restricts the turn on the backswing, it also doesn’t make it as easy to turn around the “post” of the lead leg through the golf ball, however for some people it can be helpful. Also, not really a big fan of lifting the lead heel unless you were really trying to find some more mobility or power. Much more in the camp of making a centered grounded turn in with an efficient gosling you can hit it plenty plenty far! Thank you for watching!

Hi Mike, in this backswing when turning the right hip towards the target, I cannot keep the trail leg from straightening. Is that ok or is there a way this is done keeping the right leg flexed? My son really enjoyed his lessons at PORZAK Golf.

Hi guys! Great to hear from you! You just need to create some awareness and keep the right knee on the instep of the right foot and keep the right knee flexed a little and then allow your hip to turn. A great little drill that I will put up soon is putting a golf ball underneath the outside of your trail foot so it wedges your foot into the ground. This is a wonderful way to help turn the trail leg into the brace and keep it stable. Let me know how it goes ! Thank you for watching!

Regarding ball position and hip bump- for a longer iron the ball should closer to my ear. If I do the bump, it will be closer to my shoulder. Is that correct?
@GolfPitt
@GolfPitt 7 месяцев назад
We use the upper body as reference for ball position. A pitching wedge would be under your sternum. A driver would be under your left armpit or left shoulder, and everything would be on a scale in between those two moving roughly a quarter of an inch! You also have different with the stance with a different Clubs so when you do the 1 inch hip-hop, the pressures in the feet are different for each. my front foot is heavier at dress and throughout the swing with a wedge, my foot with a driver has more pressure in address than my leadfoot. Thank you for watching!

Mike, Nice addition on Adam Hip Bumb especialy to add the right shoulder a little more back. But where is your weight during backswing. At the Top it looks most om the left foot /torso ….seems a little back Stack&Tilt at the end is that correct? Not staying all the weight on the left foot as original S&T ? Best regards

Wonderful question! It depends, mostly on the cob you’re hitting. When I am heading in 8iron or below I literally feel about 70% stand my Frankfurt because of a loft on the club. I can head straight down on that golf ball flight at lower and have it go further. As you get to the longer clubs, you will get up to 80% of your weight lower to the instep of your back foot. This happens because you’re set up in the reverse K and you’re turning your chest over your back foot in the stands a little bit wider. So you’re not shifting pressure into the backfoot you’re simply rotating in your set up in your upper body turning on top of your lower body and your chest turning over your back foot is what creates the pressure. This is the biggest difference between the stack and tilt and what we do, in the stack and tilt your chest turns over your front foot, not what we want at all

Thanks for good explanation may be a new video )?) in which you explain in more in detail shorter irons wedge up to 8=> 70 front foot. 7-->>>hybrids 4 50/50% Wonod 5 and lower incl the driver 80 % on Blackfoot@@GolfPitt
