Your mando Calrissian refference, is reffering to archer(the tv-show) where Archer the main character disguises himself as a "Rando Calrisiano" on a mission in Argentina. Somewhere in season 6, I believe.

for anyone who wants to be able to see through the entire visor just go to an autozone/pep boys or find "VHT Nightshades", its a sprayable tint for car tailights that blacks it out and you're able to see out of it relatively well. It's only like 13 bucks too

Unfortunately no. While it looks great and personally I love EVA foam builds, your helmet and armor have to be built with something sturdier I.E. Fiberglass or Resin. EVA is acceptable for small detail work but it shouldn't be easily identifiable. Here are the CRL's for all eras and a list of approved materials for armor building. It doesn't list scratchbuilds as acceptable but they are as long as they fit the requirements of your era. Some of our best builds are handbuilt from the ground up. A good approvable costume can be done for easily $1000 or less. Helmets are usually the most expensive thing at 100-300 for a good resin cast. just a heads up jake, you could also make the visor out of clear binder dividers, there are plenty that are colored already, i made mine with a blue one and it looks great :>

You know Jake now that I see this and its just a thought. You made 2 versions of the lightsaber however theres litterally like a variety of lightsabers from Darth Mauls to Count Doku, and not to mention like any Sith in general and the lazerwhip. Sooo yea more Star Wars weapons be cool to see

Any chance of seeing the wrest of the armor pop up here? I am trying to make a mando for a fan film, but I'm too cheap to buy molds etc... for the gauntlets, chest plates, and other armor peices...I would love to see a cheaper DIY way to do it!

One putty I like to use for gap filling is JB KwikWood epoxy. It's actually really safe to handle with bare hands, pretty easy to work with as long as you mix the putty in very small amounts, and it cures into a solid that can be sanded and painted like wood. I've been able to get a lot of smooth, seamless results, and it's actually pretty durable and not too heavy. The only downside is that the tubes can be a little expensive for the amount that you get, so it's not practical for anything particularly large-scale, but I'd guess that a full tube, which costs around 3-5 dollars, could have easily coated the dome of that helmet.

+William Jakespeare Pretty quick, actually. You can generally work with the putty for about 10-20 minutes after mixing it, and it can reach a full cure in as little as an hour, depending on the amount you've used and the thickness of the application. I generally like to give it at least a few hours just to be on the safe side, because if you try to sand it too soon, it can wind up with a sort of weird, almost scaly texture. It's like any other epoxy: The more time you give it to cure, the better. But like I said, generally cures in about an hour or two.
