Yes you can. If the wrong side of the velvet fabric is smooth and doesn’t itch your skin, then you can sew the fabric without a lining But if the wrong side of the sequence fabric isnt smooth, then you need to use a lining first, before joining the front piece of the skirt to the back piece of the skirt. Or if you stil want to make it without a lining, then you can wear a longer tight underwear so it doesn’t itch your skin You are welcome 🙏

No you don’t have to make a slit But you might need to sew an elastic directly on to the center line of the back piece….

A soft ankara can do this

After cutting out but the front piece and back piece of the skirt Place the africa print on the lining to cut same shape Then you have to stitch the lining to the africa print first Before following my own sewing process

Yes it’s possible. But the back piece has to be the exact skirt length

I used 1 and half yard. But you can use 2yards if you are a medium size person

Yes. Ankara can be used. But make sure the wrong surface of the ankara fabric is very similar to the front surface .

Its a half inch elastic And the length of the elastic is the same as the actual length of the skirt. I user 16” for the length of the elastic
