I have watched hundreds, if not thousands, of "How To" videos online and this is probably the best one as far as instruction: 1) straight to the point; 2) easy to follow steps shown in video; 3) no endless chattering about this, that, and the other. Other people should take lessons from you. Congratulations and thank you for doing this video.
Can you make the same piece but with the procedure like the one you made the forged carbon table? Or it would be too thick. Thank you. I love your videos
Thank you very much for your videos. Thanks to you I am going to start working a couple of things on my audi rs5. I hope I can show you when they are finished.
This is one of the sexiest carbon fiber DIYs ive ever seen! Please make a list of all the products you used in this video please!! i want to do this too
I think your vids are really nice!! I love all the carbon fiber parts you make for your bmw. I own a bmw f30 328i (2014)! Could you make some Carboon fiber eye lids? (It would make a nice video). I would love a nice pair!!!!
Don’t want to sound mean but he did too many extra steps, there’s a more simple way to have done this For such a simple piece it doesn’t take a lot of work
Hello, Buddy! I'm buying carbon fiber and epoxy resin from online shop in South Korea. However, Korean online shops do not ship overseas. So I introduce you UK online shop. Maybe you can find what you want. I hope you helpful. www.easycomposites.co.uk
Hi there. Love your videos! I learnt a lot from you. Thank you for the awesome tutorials. I have a question though. How do you clean the remaining epoxy on the acrylic/glass board after you take the thing out? A scraper?
Hi, friend !! I follow your channel and I love it !! One question, to get a matte finish, how do I do it? Thank you very much and greetings from Jerez la Frontera. Spain
Hello! Beautiful one, but it isn't a little bit too flexible? Could you make a new tutorial about making trunk spolier or lip from carbon? Like the one that comes on the m4 competition? Thank you!
Hello, Buddy! One layer of carbon fiber is very flexible. It is no problem for the interior at all. But, external parts such as spoilers require lamination of multiple layers of carbon fiber. I hope you helpful.
@@ECOLAPStudio Hi! Thank you for the tips. I still have some unclear things. The carbon fiber layer is very thin, the final result of a spoiler wouldn't be heavy in order to make the thickness of an oem spoiler? Also 1 more question, how do you the other side of the object? For example the center of the steering wheel to fix it with screws onto the actual steering wheel? Thank you!
Multi-layered carbon fiber is very hard. That's why it's OK to be thinner than the OEM parts. It would be very heavy if you, as you say, carbon fiber as much as the thickness of the OEM part. The second question is that I can't understand exactly what that means. I'm sorry. I'm not good at English. Please talk in detail.
Came for carbin fiber door sill....... seen plastic with. carbon logo... ..Ehh. okay. xD but dont get me wrong excelent work. and awesome method. but i really came for a full Sill out of carbon xD
Hello, Buddy! The epoxy resins I use are products that can easily remove air bubbles. I've been trying to get rid of air bubbles, and I haven't tried making air bubbles. Making an air bubble can be done by mixing a high viscosity epoxy resin and curing it at a temperature. This is my guess.

@@ECOLAPStudio right on didn't know it could hurt the carbon I used a hot air gun recently on some reason and though it was pretty cool how it removed the bubbles that are to small to show on camera but definitely would hurt the clear look.
Gregory Krisa OMG 😱 Bro it does not damage carbon fiber with a heat gun, it might over cure the resin. Carbon fiber is created to withstand up to 2000 degrees of heat!! How in the world is a heat gun going to damage the carbon🤦🏾♂️

@@ECOLAPStudio im in USA so unfortunately they wanna charge me like 100 euro just to ship it :( but thank you so much for responding and helping with links your awesome and you inspired me to do my first DIY
@@anonymousnick214 look at UScomposites.com . they have very good epoxy and cloth for just about the cheapest prices ive seen. look into the medium hardener for the epoxy resin.

Hello, Buddy! Finally 1K subscribers !! We did 1K with the help of my subscribers, including you. Thank you so so so much. I made a steering wheel for your request, and the video is very popular. Thank you for your request. I'll try more! Thank you!!
hello wanna ask.. Is it necessary to wait epoxy resin to get tacky first before stick carbon fiber cloth? Because what i see in your video after you put epoxy resin on the glass you directly just stick carbon cloth
Hello, Buddy! Don't wait for it to be sticky. Apply epoxy resin to the glass plate and immediately layer the carbon fiber cloth. It is most important to remove the air bubble using a brush.

Hello, Buddy! Thank you so much. I'm sorry, I don't sell carbon fiber. I would like to share information and fun with video. And When It forming, vacuum is required, otherwise vacuum is not required. Vacuum may or may not be necessary depending on the situation. I hope you helpful.
@@ECOLAPStudio thanks for the info thats helpfull . You got me wrong there just a link or description what you use not where to buy. I saw some resoltech 7060 but which epoxys especially the UV resistant top coat
@@denniss1618 Resoltech 7060 is clear gelcoat. If you want a clear topcoat (Anti UV), I recommend resoltech 1070S (epoxy resin) + 1074 (hardener). I buy materials from Korea, but Korean online shops do not ship overseas. So I can't tell you the link. You should to find shop, you can buy.
@@denniss1618 The resoltech 7060 is black and clear. However, I did not use the 7060 gel coat in the door sill video. I think you have seen using 7060 in another video. In the door sill video, two types of laminated epoxy resin and resoltech 1070 top coat epoxy resin were used.

So basically you bought some door sills and replaced the aluminium logo with a bit of carbon fibre and a vinyl sticker? Not really making a carbon fibre door sill now is it?
Hello! From Hawaii! I am a new subscriber to your channel. Great job in everything you do! Very helpful 👍🏼 do you use heat gun after laying cloth and resin?
Hello, Buddy! Nice to meet you. That's right. Apply epoxy resin and use a heat gun. Using a heat gun can remove air bubbles. However, be careful when using too high temperature and too much time as it may damage the carbon fiber and vinyl sheet. Thank you for watching.
