Thank you for this tutorial! The video is so clear in the directions and the pattern is wonderful. I’m making a cap for my friend who is going through chemo. I’m using flannel so it’s soft and warm but not bulky.

Thank you for this tutorial. I have cancer and have made myself this cap, I love it! I also make a lot for donation where I get my infusions. I would never make anything for donation that I wouldn't wear myself. This is my favorite head cover. I bring the ties to the front and give them a twist and then knot them in the back. I also have rounded out the end of the ties for a softer look.

Once I got the grain right -this pattern was excellent and went together perfectly every time. I made 4 in one day for a friend in need. Loved how they came together. The only alteration I made was making the shorter straps and adding them in as I put the two caps together for the final sew. I love how they turned out. THANK YOU

I have sewn this pattern many times. It is the best fitting pattern that I have done. I put my ties in after I sew the two pieces together. Then when you turn under the back part of I insert the finished tie. This is wonderful pattern and I use all the time for a chemo cap or nurses scrub cap.

Can you tell me about doing the ties. I didn’t like the way the fold in seams looked. I thought to sew ties in last instead of first which is kind of what we did with elastic in masks..
@williamcherko3650
@williamcherko3650 2 года назад
@@deborahjpinson6551skip sewing the ties to b piece. Put a and b pieces together. When you put cap together with both pieces of fabric sew together leaving the bottom of cap open. Then you can put ties in when you have both right sides showing. I put the ties in and fold the fabric in and topstitch them together. So yes, I sewed them in last.

I just made one for my mum who has just started to lose her hair with chemo. This is really quite a tight fit once, although I do confess to having a massive swede 🤣 I hope it fits my mum, and that she wears it! She is a fussy bugger and I've made it with batik fabric so it's hopefully less sweaty in Spain in the summer! Thank you so much for the pattern and video.
