disclaimer for all people, as of now, they're bugged and this won't work. what's supposed to happen is when you remove a book, the signal decreases by 1 and when you add a book it increases by 1. currently, if you add 2 books you have a signal of 2 and then if you remove one book, the signal is still 2. to make it go back down, you have to remove the first book, but then the signal only decreases by 1 so with no books, the signal is still 1 so eventually, with no books, your signal will still be 6

for some reason when i did this on my bedrock world the bottom blocks with the pistons did not move forwars both blocks like they were supposed to but its fine because i incorporated it into my build design

Bro the bottom ones don’t move..

So i had a bit of a problem with this: the pistons would bring the blocks but not take them with them again. I somehow fixed that by right clicking the repeater thats closest do the chiseled bookshelf once (thought id leave the solution if someone else has that problem). Also someone else commented on how the signal for the bookshelves actually works which was also helpful (thank youu if you read this)
