you make the rivet tool look so easy...my wimpy little girl hands didn't think so. Thanks for the instructional, I now have pretty hoops to travel with.
Your video style reminds me of Mr. Rogers Neighboorhood. Kudos to all of your new and informative videos. I hope they are bringing in business for you, you deserve it!
this is an awesome video. thanks so much. very well produced. Im a hoopcrafter but never made a collapsible. Need one as I am traveling via air in like a month. Thanks!
@NinjaKittySayFail Yes, that would work fine. I would suggest putting them in up and down as apposed to sideways, this way when your hooping your body won't press up against the button.
Sure. 1 - Rivet Dia 1/8 In, Rivet Length 0.400 In, Head Diameter 0.250 In, Head Height 0.04 In, Grip Range 0.188-0.250 In ----- The Diameter and the Grip range are the two things you really want to pay attention to. 2. - Yes I do make 4 section hoops. I was selling them on my website, then took them off, because the 3 section ones seem to work just fine for most people.
Ok, I'm making my hoop.. about to tape it, and was wondering which way do I push the snap button in?! the the open mouth side is facing my rivets ir the other way around?! Eeep! Don't wanna miss-drill those holes... I'll have a sad. PS -> thanks for all ur videos! You guys rock!
I have read through the comments and I don't see anything about the following: 1. In your video you drilled through the entire hoop and only put in 1 rivet, are 2 meant to go in there? 2. I do see where you said the quick-release button connectors with 2 buttons would work fine but aren't required. I also noticed you drilled through the entire hoop for that as well, did you intend to only put one hole so you don't have an empty hole on the other side? Thanks so much and this video, its great.
@TheSpinsterz Hey man, certainly. I have a set that I DJ in DC last year called Electric Collective. I am working on a brand new set that is going to blow some minds, great energy, not to say the one that is there isn't good LOL. Here is the link and let me know what you think.
Ignore my first question in the post, i missed it in the video where you flipped over the hoop to put in the second rivet. I still wanted to know about the quick-release buttons though, did you intend to drill through the hoop only to put a single button connector in? Thanks so much.
what didn't you end this video with showing us the end result? I'm trying to make this hope but i don't know if your hoop looks like the other collapsible hoops I've seen. originally l wanted to make a figure 8 collapsible hoop. can you show ppl how to make those?
@DJStickyFusion All you need to do is drill through the top of the hoop, not through both sides. I see you have a DJ name, got a place I can hear what you spin?
@TheSpinsterz It won't let me post the URL to it in any shape or for so go to Soundcloud(dot)com(slash)stickyfusion(slash)sticky(hyphen)fusion(hyphen)electric and you should see it.
Couldn't you just do snaps on both sides instead of a snap on one and a rivet on the other? Since you'll need to buy so many snaps - it'll avoid those of us having to buy a rivet gun if we don't have one haha.
You are a bad man for not wearing safety glasses while operating that drill press. Some folks who watch this video might not be as.. attentive as you are. Just in general, please try to observe good safety techniques.
