Great Chair for using with a travel trailer too as you usually have plenty of flat storage space eithe under interior furniture or exterior storage compartments a nice thing about this build is you can still stack other items on top of the disassembled chairs without worrying about damages

I've seen this type of Viking chair a lot on RU-vid, And I ask, wouldn't a notch cut out of each piece and then notches placed together give the same strength as this style ? Because if so, doing 2 cuts at same time with a saw would make this a lot faster made. Then really only a saw (powered or not) and a jigsaw (or chisel) would be needed to make it in about 5 mins (little more if staining).

Regarding safety I was adding a small office in my church, just stud walls and sheet rock for someone else to fling mud and paint. My pastor happened by and asked why I was using a handsaw. It was a Japanese pull saw and I was using because it kept my tool box light and I like it. I t's quiet. My reply was that it was a safety issue as no one keeps sawing after the teeth hit their fingers. A moment after he had gone I managed to catch a finger with one pull of the saw. At least the cut was fairly clean and I quit cutting as soon as it registered.😒
