Happy New Year Stripey 🎉. Excellent Stripey, thanks for sharing, simple when you know how, especially as you did all the measurements for us! We shall no more have any excuse to eat a cold meal again 😂. ATB Serk
That is really helpful. I hope you don’t mind as I have been ‘singing your praises’ to our Scout Troop and suggesting they take a look at this video and the many others you have made as they are a fantastic source of inspiration and in many cases offering really practical help.
Amazing channel. Amazing videos. Amazing person. You’ve inspired me to get outdoors, I’ve been waiting years on my friends to commit to coming but it never happens. I’m going it alone! ATB stripey
@@StripeyHatGuy I think I’m all set. The only thing I’m debating is food! I can’t justify paying prices they are asking for MREs! I’m going to try and work out your formula for bolognese 😂
@@rossturpin859 yeah absolutely you should do! It is completely ridiculous what they charge for ready meals. What also a good option is: ready pasta (plus extra pasta), chorizo sausage with some ‘uncle Benz’ Mexican rice or just a couscous for the case you don’t find the time. Also some nuts are always handy (high calorie and don’t freeze 😂)
@@StripeyHatGuy amazing. Thanks for the advice! Maybe you could do a short food tutorial for beginners starting out! I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one looking to benefit from your experience 👍🏼 you’re a great video maker.
Brilliant, felt like i was watching a cool outdoors useful version of Blue Peter :) (thats a compliment) All the best for 2024 mate. Loving the channel
Absolutely, used my food pouch now for more or less a year and it holds up just fine. In winter I use it also to put my electronics inside. Cheers Stripey
Aye the weather is just not good enough for anything I would like to do - the good thing is that I finally had the chance to make a short diy video for the food cozy 😄
I did one regarding the pasta bolognaise, believe it is called ‘dehydrating my favourite backpacking meal’ which more or less explained the principles of it (when my memory serves me right 😂). The best way to get into it is just trying different meals. I do every ingredient by itself so I can mix accordingly, fat is generally bad for dehydrating as it makes the food go fairly quick rancid. Have a look at the video and when you have any questions just drop me a line 👍 ATB Stripey
