Instead of embroidery thread I’ve found quilter’s silk by superior threads (on their website) so much easier to hand sew without even using any wax products for detangling. And it has a beautiful sheen, very strong! It does require a larger eyed needle. I love the appliqué tricks and tips, with the Ric-rack. Just the sleeve can go around any coordinated pillow case.

Thank you so very much Tammy. I so enjoyed sewing along with you and learning some great techniques. I too have a Bernina - but a 590 B. and your tips on stitches, needles used, tension settings, foot used,…. Oh my has been so helpful. If you ever do any of the kimberbell in the hoop demonstrations I will surely watch to learn your techniques. Thank you Tammy - you are such a blessing to Shabby Fabrics and their customers!

We’re so glad you enjoy this tutorial, Tracy :) The fusible on the laser cut shapes does help it to resist fraying and some folks choose to do a blanket stitch around the edges to help prevent fraying. Hope this helps! -Michelle

I ordered a holiday pillow wrap wrap, where I would get a kit every month. I thought the first kit was going to start coming in February . I have not received any yet.
