I use Art glitter glue there's no glitter in it but that's the only glue I use. The you use very little of it a dot will stick forever the less glue you use the better. AMAZON has it. I don't use my cricut as much so i don't know all to do the flattening etc. Thank you for this video it was very helpful.
Thank you Kayla!! Cant wait to make cards. I love buying and picking out individual cards for ppl in my, family, church, and community. I CAN'T WAIT now TO make them more special.
Finally I found this step-by-step tutorial on how to create a card. I have been sticking with vinyl projects. Onto cardstock and some beautiful results!! Thanks!
I use the double sided glue from Hobby Lobby, it works great & it’s only $3.99! This was a great tutorial. I made my 2nd card last night & I’m watching more videos for ideas, thank you! Now I know how to create my own envelopes!!!
Thank you so much! I am making small invites and need 140 of them. This is timely but so glad to know how to print multiple, then cut multiple, rather than each one at a time!
This is the best by far tutorial for card making! Thank You so so much....Now I just need to get the scoring tool and try it. Thank You Thank You so very much! 💖
Whoa! This has a lot of steps! But it was wonderful seeing how you made this. Whew I know I will need practice doing this and making sure I have all the blades I need for cardstock. Thank you so much for sharing this! Very informative! ♥️
I love this! I originally wanted a Cricut to make cards, although I haven't made a single one since I got my Maker. I've done a bunch of other projects, but not cards. I guess it's time to get busy and make one for my mom! Thanks for the step-by-step tutorial. :)
I just got my Cricut Air Explore 2 and have no idea where to start! I searched a couple tutorials on RU-vid but they were not very detailed for someone who’s a beginner like myself. I love how you went step by step and explained things. You made it look soooo easy lol. I’ve subscribed to your channel ❤️
Your card is so pretty! I bought an explore air 2 this past November and so far, made only one vinyl for my cannister. I'm curious as to why you didn't let the cricut make solid letters so you didn't have to fill it in.
Nice job! I’ve been using Art Glitter Glue for years and love it. It dries clear. I’d suggest that you fold the sides of your envelope in first, then fold the bottom up.
I followed your steps word for word. The only thing I did wrong was use a liquid glue which made the paper soggy and showed through. But I really loved your video and I was able to make a card for my first time!!
Great video. I love your teaching style! Isn't there a way to get the Cricut to color in the letters instead of doing it free-hand? I'd mess up for sure!
I just subscribed to you channel and I love it, very helpful and informative. I just got a cricut maker and didn’t know where to start. Thank you so much. Have you done a video on how to make stickers?
Thank you so much!! Here's a video I did on how to make stickers. I want to make an updated one eventually! :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2fc0iQeXig.html
Ms. Kayla can you make your own cutaway card with your own cardstock to be used on cricut card mat from a 12x12 card stock sheet, or would you have to add you own sheet behind the cover after using cricut to cut front out,the glue foil or what ever on back of front cover cutout that's what I've been doing i wondered if there was a better way? Do you know what I mean,I just don't want to buy cutaway cards!
Thank you for this video…. Cricut Design space makes it hard to understand how to do a card…. I have no clue what size the cards are when I look through the projects!!! Do you know what size cards are R10, R20, R30 and R40…… that’s really confusing… I just wanted to find a card the size you would buy at the store and and envelope and it’s very hard to find one… I believe the store ones are about a 5x7 …. Thank you!!!!
I was just saying out loud "Nooo don't glue the card down". Then you said its not a good idea. Only glue near the back of the spine down, or just the back page. Great video 👍🏻
Is it possible for me to use construction paper instead of card stock or would that mess up anything? I just don’t have any card stock and I kind of wanted to try something with this today.
So I don’t have the scoring wheel I have one that you do by hand if I put the score down the middle will the cricut tell me to put it in or how do I go about that? New to this sorry if I don’t make sense !😂
Envelope center fold area should be 5.25 x 7.25 - I make sure the fold lines are attached and then I pull on the center piece and make it the size I need - by doing that the rest of the envelope auto enlarges to the right size
Marlene Nicholl I am trying to understand your process. Not sure where the center fold area is located on the envelope or how you pull from the center piece to re-size
So the only way to get the text on the inside to be solid letters is to color it in? That's crazy considering this machine has so many features. Is there no "fill in" feature?
I am going to be making cards to put on my etsy shop for sending through the mail. Are these the correct measurements to do that? I looked it up online but it is still kind of confusing XD
This was a great tutorial, it was my first project. Question: I am not sure why it didn’t prompt me to put in the marker on the inside of my card, even though it said Score, Draw and Cut. Do you know why that would be?
I am trying to write my wedding invitations with my cricut, I know not super practical but I just love the look. I am using blank card stock invitations from Wilton to write on so they’re already the right size but I can NOT figure out how to line it up so the writing is centered on my invitation! Someone PLEASE help me! I’m a brand new cricut user! I just got it for my bday/Mother’s Day, so I’m new new lol
Why do you have to print the design on a regular printer, then put it through the Cricut to cut and score? Why not have the Cricut print, score and cut all at once? I don't understand how the Cricut "knows" where to cut.
My paper gets stuck to my light grip mat and I can’t peel it off easily without the card bending and creasing and even though I chose the right weight it didn’t cut through either what am I doing wrong ?
I have found that thinner paper just doesn’t work well on even the light grip mat. You can find thinner cardstock that cuts and removes from the mat so much better. I tried cutting regular computer paper on the light grip mat once, and it was a complete disaster!
There's not a way to fill it in on Cricut Design Space, sadly! You either have to find a find a writing font that gives it one line or color it in yourself. Usually I ended up trying to find a writing font because it looks a little nicer than filling it in.
You have to buy something else just to score????? This company seems greedy af I'm sorry lol...but forreal...I thought the machine did most of it without having to buy so many attachments. Ty for the video, still watching
Trish McCarty I know how you feel. When I was confident to do other projects I learned quickly that I needed other tools and I was like “whaaaat?” I went to the cricut website to only find that the tools are out of stock. Oh, and to add to the expense, different housing is needed for different blades...OUCH!
@@laurawhittaker7217 I only wanted it for a fun hobby but I could see buying it all for if you were starting a business...I would've just expected that it'd have the basics for a $200 machine ( air 2).
I agree with you Trish. My Dh bought me a Maker for my b-day - after I told him I didn't want anything from Cricut. I could have made this card in 1/2 the time using my Cuttlebug and hand-lettering. SMH
