This is a perfect video, a lot of digital marketing videos only focus on getting the meeting and selling services no one ever shows what to do after which is what I’ve been looking so hard for, 2 years later and still one of very few vids that show the research portion of digital marketing. Very nice step by step on getting research for your potential clients

Jordan Steen The Google map is 'Google My Business' and has nothing to do with Google+ Google+ is a branding page and Google My Business is your map position and info.. Updating your Google+ page would not effect or update you map information. Also Google+ page is highly important for your SEO ranking position.. hence why alot of SEO companies include it in there marketing plans - Remember Google own G+ and Google decide where to rank you in there search engine based on the information you tell Google.

Tons of good stuffs mate. Really liked how you mentioned that we should not always focus on how the prospect is failing in different social/web profiles, but make a balanced approach between pros and cons of their presence. The reason for multiple phone numbers is likely that they use various numbers for tracking purposes. Usually at the end of the month, they probably compile a comparison of how many calls each number generated. Then they can see which ads (digital or physical) works better. Used to do this with Yellow Pages back in the day. Think of it as a poor man's UTM tracker

Great useful video! QUESTION : Is there a way to see if “new content” is generating leads and sales? I’m a [videographer] and I want to use the information that you’ve provided. Only thing is, I want to close strong by being able to say something like; “The content that we create together will bring an x amount of percentage increase in sales/engagement to their business.” So I’m basically looking for a tool that shows increase in engagement over time. How many convert is different for each person. What I recommend is reaching out to 50 businesses a day and try to get 10 to let you build an audit. Out of those get 3 meetings. From that try and close 1 business.

Love your videos and they are very helpful. But srsly, whenever I follow a link for an item you mentioned in the video ( like "Here is the Social Media Marketing Audit Template") and it redirects me to only a landing page prompting me to sign up for one of your courses or programs, it really seems like a good ole bait & switch move. I'd suggest either removing these links or keep the content that is promised up on that page.

It amazes me how, contrary to popular belief, you as a businessman, who is stereotype as advantageous or self-serving, showed more interest in me, than these so-called humanitarians or conscientious beings whom advertise love and growth. We have had an issue with our DMARC record which is why people arent receiving them. Please try back in a day or two

I see. Coz sometimes the audit doesn't make sense. Like "it has great engagement" but if you look closely, they haven't been responding to comments.

Hey Jordan, I have a situation, please guide me the way forward - I prepared a detailed marketing audit for a Restaurant and sent to them, The got the attention and successfully had the meeting. during that meeting I got to know that they have couple of other businesses in the same group and they want me to help them on other 2 restaurants. but not that lady owner is asking me to email her recommendations for other two businesses and not really finalizing the next meeting so that we could decide on pricing and sign agreement. Seems like she is more interested to just utilize my expertise and get suggestions on email in free. Got knows if she will be signing up with me or not. I'm confused that should I really help her in answering her questions for other businesses or request her to first sign-up and then being open to serve. Point to note - I have already given her vital information for her main business. I'm at 0 client stage as of now. what should I do?

Are the other two businesses hers? If so she may be trying to use you for all of her businesses. She may be using someone for all of them now.
