I’m so glad you showed how you made that!! I thought it was amazing and I agree that the results of the contest are arbitrary. Everyone made a really cool enclosure. 🐍❤️🐍
I would happily take anyone on of the 10 enclosures. I’ve never seen your videos until the Tank build off but I actually chose your tank because I have a leopard geckos and i could see my boy loving this enclosure.
@@candylovejoy9805 Same here! I’m so glad Snake Discovery had that challenge because I wouldn’t have found Elle’s channel as soon as I did. I just got my first reptile, a gorgeous, male BP and I love him so much!
I love that hide. The entire enclosure was fantastic which is why I voted for it! I wish I could be there to bid on it. I would try to make one myself but I have absolutely no artistic talent.
@@ellesreptiles Honestly his idea and story is why I voted for him. I've never seen a cage like that before even if it's not something I would normally do myself. Otherwise itd be you and Clint all day ❤
Im half way through my first custom hide build for my boa and im going for an overgrowth on rock look. I wasent sure how to do the overgrowth but the sheet moss is perfect. Thank you!
You could also use 100 percent silicone caulk its easier to find .. And as far as coconut fiber you can actually find that in compressed 8crt blocks at home depot as well you just have to break it up and it's much cheaper in comparison to buying it at a pet store
That hide is soo cool! your ideas are so creative and inspire me to make my own reptile decorations. What kind of water sprayer do you have/where did you get it? Ive seen it in a lot of your videos and it looks really helpful instead of a sparay bottle.
I'm so glad you guys got fourth, I am such s huge fan of so many people who were in the build off, it was honestly hard to choose when everyone's build was INCREDIBLE but I voted for you guys!!! I love the hobbit hide and was excited to see this video 😍
I Absolutely loved your enclosure the most out of all of them and there were a lot of incredible builds but your to me was the one that stood out to me for what I would want for my enclosures. I did vote for your enclosure for the build off. It was so much fun to watch... LOVE LOVE LOVE how Amazing yours came out. I truly think you should have been placed higher on that list even though 4th is a great finish!! ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊
Much simpler, but I've built one using an egg box, with the same silicone and coco fibre method. It's not as pretty, but It's ideal for the little'uns and you can whip it up in about 10 minutes... Plus curing time.
That is SO awesome how you made the hide. I might have to try that out some time. But so glad you guys did so well in the competition. You guys had my vote. 😊
This video was excellent! What are your thoughts on applying silicon to the inside of the pipes and coating it in coir, rather than applying the shellacking?
You did an amazing job on the snake tank build. You deserved 2nd place, but since this is your first time 4th place is okay. You will do better next time around. You video's are fantastic, informative and creative.
Might be a silly question, but would it be ok to do this for a non-bioactive tank as well. Im Pretty sure it has to be I want to do one for my ball python
I’m thinking about incorporating pvc caves(wider than my snake can ever get) into the foam backdrop of my bio build. Do you have any concerns with this?
Since I don't have this one anymore, I'm not sure. But I make my own backgrounds using the same materials/process. I've had those tanks set up for years, even with animals crawling all over them. 😊
This was created specifically for bioactive tanks, so the cleanup crew breaks down the animal's waste. 😊 Definitely not recommended for any other kind of setup.
