This is genius!!!! I have so many folio covers I don’t use as often as I’d like because I’m usually in a TN, and this is a perfect solution for them. Thanks for sharing 💗
Amazon sells clear plastic placemats for cheap! I have made tn inserts like this, for A5’s, B6’s, and A6’s. They’re strong and don’t lose shape when you punch holes and add elastic. They easily move to whichever cover you’re using. Much less work. 😊
This is so good! I got acetate from HoneyBShop’s Babe Box and in a loss of what to do with them. Thank you for sharing this project! I might do the same.
Thanks for sharing ! I was thinking of doing this to my cover and wondered if anyone had done it! Would the cute paper with the dots and laminate be sturdy enough?
Yes, it's a little too sturdy actually. I've also done it by laminating only one side of the scrapbook cardstock, and I liked it better. It also depends on if your laminate is 3mil or 5mil.
Interesting. I purchased a clear placemat that I thought I might try - it’s so flimsy I don’t even know how it’s a placemat! lol, but if you think the paper and laminate may be to thick it may not work. Do you think a general rule is that if you can bend whatever medium one is using in the middle to determine the holes for the elastic it should be ok?
@colleenmeakins4778 it depends. If you want the cover to stay closed without the closure in use then you want something that's a little more pliable. If the cover popping open doesn't bother you, then the weight or thickness of what you use won't matter as long as the holes are sturdy.
