Wouldn't be surprised if this is more expensive lmao, a tigh tension spring with a specific size like that would not only take a decent amount of time yo find but is probably like $15 on its own, plus a $2 bolt and $1 in nuts, thats $18, i just looked on google and the first one that came up was $18.12 from ace, and the second one was $15 lmao
Aside from how stupid it is to build something like this that you could buy for a few buck, there's a couple engineering flaws to it: The welds will break soon because spring steel (in this case, probably class 2 wire) doesn't weld well. It won't have much preload tension on it so if the hinges have ANY drag it will stop before closing. The metal on metal fit where the bar slides through the mount on the door will quickly wear and provide a lot of extra drag. And it's not offset from the door frame enough to allow the door to go much past 90 degrees.
Also the direction of the spring is tightening and theres no space for it to get any smaller so the amount it opened in the video is probably as wide as it will ever open before it breaks
Да в любом случае, не более чем на несколько раз. А пружина то неисвромятина должна быть, так же как и всё остальное, что б не порыжело. Я к тому, что и себестоимость у изделия по нонешним временам немаленькая будет.

Сварочный аппарат - 3000 рублей. Болт, гайки и пружина - 400 рублей. Упаковка электродов - 1500 рублей (потому что никто вам один электрод не продаст). Итого 4900 рублей. Тем временем, готовый доводчик в магазине - 500 рублей
Мой троюродный брат инженер. Он предлагает открыть цех прям в квартире по сборке сварочных аппаратов и станок поставить по изготовлению пружин.идея так себе, но с инженером не поспоришь. 👍
Сразу два недочёт. Прижимную планку надо было торцом приваривать и на кронштейне пружины точки крепления со стороны двери нужно повернуть на 90°. Тем самым максимально совместив ось пружины с осью дверных петель.
Когда я рос в советском союзе такими "доводчиками" были оборудованы 90% дверей. Еще проще конструкция, два крепежа и пружина на растяг. Ни сварки, ни шурика не надо было.
People that do have welders are the type of people this is for. You could put this in an outhouse you built, a clubhouse, deer blind, shooting shack, ice shanty etc. Looks like it would work better than the gas strut types they sell in stores for those applications too.

Seems to be at a cabin, where it might not be practical to pop out to home depot or wait for Amazon to get to you. Besides, if you're a tinkerer building it from scraps, the cost is 0

Me: buys a $99.99 welder from harbor freight, welding gloves, apron, mask (because I didn’t know that little T-shaped thing that came w/ the welder was a mask), flux core welding wire, bench vise for holding the parts, a bolt, 3 nuts, a spring, some screws, and some steel bar, and a bench grinder for finishing the edges. Also me: realizing my now $275 door closer has the spring backwards.

Мы жили на втором этаже, так эта дверь так шарахала что телек подпрыгивал и мы все дружно с жильцами вспоминали дядю Игоря не совсем хорошими словами. Кто то пошел и оторвал эту пружину. А дверь то деревяггой была на улицу. Уж лучше бы дядя Игорь рессору к двери пришпандорил. Сейчас мне 40 лет. До сих пор помню дядю Игоря. А как то утром он разбудил двор от того что начал сверлить в тазике дырки. Как он сказал - это острая необходимость. И это в 7 утра летом. А дом у нас был 2-х этажный на 24 кв. Спасибо тебе дядя Игорь за наше незабываемое детство
torsion spring might need 90° worth of elasticity (if that makes sense, i mean if u push the spring beyond 90° elastic limit is reached) only looks to make it 45° here. As for the bar its at a 90° offset to the door, opening the door the full way means it will just barely reach if at all. I suggest starting at an offset to the bar beyond 90° and use a different spring, that beint said v good concept, not anything ive done
I want to see him open the door fully, it seems like the end of the rod is going to dig into the door. The distance from the spring mount and the side of the door is more than the offset of the bracket mounted on the door. If the door is opened to 90° the rod isn't parallelle to the door bat angled towards the door. The end of the rod pushes further through the bracket as the door opens, because the pivot point of the door and the spring are not at the same place, the brakeet on the door moves dowards the spring when the door opens. Depending on the constraints it could happen that the end of the rod pushes up agains the door.
сделайте так и получите ряд преимуществ учитывая коменты, с которыми я полностью согласен кстати 1. после второго открывания полностью если конечно это удастся вы получите а.сломаную пружину б.веселую необходимость держать сварочник возле двери в.держать возле двери дополнительную пружину г.закрывать на щеколду каждый раз пртому что пружина(если до тех пор она не лопнет) будет работать на открывание д.необходимость вовремя оплачивать интернет чтоб отхуесотить в нужный момент автора
Да, если бы без нагрева выпрямил концы пружин, просверлил бы отверстия и вставив концы сжал бы пружину перед тем как прикрутить к двери, был бы годный захлапыватель двери, но ещё пружину надо помощнее, так как эта по мне быстро ослабнет, да и резьба здесь лишняя.
Какая дверная пружина? Есть ссылка? Ты думаешь, все в мире тупые, а твой народ самый умный? До тебя технологии позднее чем до Индии доходят вообще-то. Пружины цепляют снаружи и она портит краску, а это изнутри ставится.
You can get it for like 120$ in india. We owned this basic Weilding machine because labor cost for even a simple work cost as much as complicated work 🤦♂️
For the comments about the door not opening, that door can clearly open wider than 90 degrees. The problem is, there's no way to adjust tension or release tension when you want to leave door open. Store bought door closers can be adjusted and many have a feature to hold the door open.
@AztecWarrior69 it will open 100° or maybe 120° but not 180° . There are door stoppers made to stop doors from opening 180° . They attach to the hinge and work in the exact same way. If you look at one, you'll understand what we're talking about. If you think it won't open then you just don't understand what you're talking about.

Only one problem, the pivot points of the door and the closer are in different positions so the rod arm will jam on the slide bracket and won't allow the door to open fully with out modification.
А вот у одного изобретателя очень туго открывалась входная дверь. Когда его спросили, почему дверь так туго открываются, он сказал, что при открытии воды из колоца откачивается на поверхность 8.5 литра воды. Его спросили: а почему именно 8.5 литра?
