Amber from OrangeOliveRoad is a genius! That blade has saved my hands. I don't have a video but I just weave the tails through the hat, then the holes in the button, snug it up and tie a bow. Easy Peasy!

This is great! You said the end shows the button. Did I miss it? Is the purpose of a button so that the pom pom can be removed to allow the hat to be machine washed? Or will it be a fixed element?

I thread the tails of the poms through the hat, then through the holes in the button, tie a bow and it's done. Easily removable if you wish.

Definitely cheaper!! I was able to buy a total of a yard for $30. When I figured it out, I should be able to get poms for about $.60 a piece!! That saves me about $5.40 a pom!!

I think it depends... you have to figure in more than material costs when deciding to make something vs purchase.
