Perfect instructions! And no you are not crazy. I find it much easier to do it with the stitch holder so I can pull up the appropriate stitch as opposed to wondering where it went. Thank. You so much for putting this together.

Your use of the stitch markers is genius! I thought it was a waste of time until it got harder and harder to find those little stitches. I actually used both methods. First I added the lifeline and then as I got harder to find the stitches I added the stitch markers. Fortunately, I was able to add stitch markers as I went which made this so much quicker and easier.❤🎉

Yes, the last few stitches are always harder to find and that's why I prefer to use the stitch markers over waste yarn. I love my stitch markers!

I just found your RU-vid channel and Etsy store. What a wealth of info! I've ordered a knitting machine and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Exciting! I was wondering...what are some instances in which you would need to put the knitting back on the machine? Also, what's the best way to learn the beginner basics? Thanks!

Thank you! In this example, I knit too many rows and wanted to put the waste yarn back on. Maybe you changed to the wrong color or just don't like the section of knitting. For beginning, I suggest just playing with the machine and some. Get to know how the stitches are formed, play with going forward and backwards to see what happens, and don't be afraid to have mistakes. The more you study how it works the better you'll be!

Thanks for this! I tried doing it without adding the new yarn, it didn't catch. Now I see why lol. 😅

I’m in the process of putting a scarf back on the machine where I have jogless joins because of stripes. I see one column has 3 rows and the rest have 4. Can you help me figure out where my beginning and ending loops are in the row?

Hello Mary! I’m trying this technique of putting a tube back on the machine, 48 Sentro, but it is so tight that I’m not sure to make it all the way around to 48! Any suggestions?🤦🏻‍♀️
@CalumetKnits
@CalumetKnits 9 месяцев назад
It will be tight towards the end. But remember it came off the machine so it will go back on. When placing the stitches on, try not to stretch them. When I'm putting a stitch on, I pinch the next stitch so it doesn't shrink. If you have to stretch it, you want the slack to come from the previous stitch that you placed on the machine (not the following one).

Does this method work for flat panels?

I haven't tried but it should. Let me know if you try it.

This is exactly what I was wondering. I'm in the middle of a cardigan and made too many rows for one of the panels. I'm at row 192, now granted I need to take some off, I don't wanna mess up and have to redo the WHOLE thing haha.
