Thanks man 👌 it’s always cool to try new things, personally I don’t think Youl ever switch back once you try it, wire never shows it’s weaknesses before it breaks, whereas with fleuro, you can monitor the frayed like and get to it before it becomes a problem 👌🙏

Thanks Aaron 👌 im not sure about deadbaiting as the pike would have the deadbait inside it’s mouth for longer before the strike, I know some lads that have done it with no problem, but I haven’t done it myself ☺️👍 maybe with the 1.2mm fleuro, I’m sure it would be okay, but I don’t know yet if I’d use it for that 😎

Everyone’s opinion is more than welcome. ☺️👍 however for me, Fleuro is used by all top competitors across Europe in the biggest competition and tournaments for a big reason, it’s effective, wire is really a thing of the past with lure fishing, it does damage to pike when in the net when they spin it really tears into them and you can’t notice any nicks in the wire before it breaks, whereas with fleuro you can see wear and tear and change it long before it becomes a problem, that’s the main downside in my eyes. No right or wrongs though, definitely use what works best for you.

Crazy, they always have crap snaps and crimps also, I went through a lot of a certain companys brand leaders before doing this. Won’t name them but my god, there was a stage there when trolling I had to change leaders after nearly every big pike due to the force of the hit opening their poor quality clip ! Always use these clips now 🙌

@@senanstanleyfishing I do 90 percent of my fishing on the royal canal with big baits so never really had a problem with abu leaders but I can see why you need a decent leader when trolling. I just need a boat 🤔

I’d imagine soft would be easier to knot, I’ve never noticed a huge difference in either 😅

Hey bud, I haven’t a clue what the brand is as I bought it ready made off a friend, the transducer on mine is compact it’s not the larger size, I’m not so sure really man. I’ve always wanted to mount mine on the back of my boat but i absolutely hate the idea of putting holes into my fibreglass, I’ve bad OCD I like things left the way they are 😂😂😂

The size wouldn’t be a problem , I know loads of lads that use that fishfinder 👍 let me know what Mike says, if he wants to come down for a day to mount both of ours properly it would be even better 😂😂 there very easy to make a mess of if not done right, my brother drilled too much in his and now theres a few filled holes 😂

Yep basically a simple 2 turn clinch knot, pulled nice and tight with the 1mm line, really easy to do

I’ve heard a few guys now having issues with 0.90 with jerkbaits,Im the same id generally stay at 1.05 for safety. 🙏

diameter is not going to change anything. a sharp object made out of a hard material (pike teeth) will cut throught a object made of a soft material (fluro leader) that reality wont be magically changed by changing the diameter

@@zilla11547 I changed the size but also changed the brand of fluorocarbon to seaguar.

@@Pheasantflies still wont offer any additional protection unfortunatly. all fluros more or less have the same material properties, and thus the same lack of resistance to pike teeth. Yes there is some difference but it is minimal.

Hey bud ☺️ Have you fished with fleurocarbon or just assuming this? Because I’ve been using it for years, lots of time in use, and never an issue. Give it a go first, you won’t be disappointed.
