Nice grinder wheels...I use a paint stripper wheel and sandpaper. I like to add a drain groove on the underside to help with sponging water from the boat.
I made mine almost exactly the same way ten years ago. I finished it with some fabric from a auto seat cover and contact adhesive. It fits my ass perfectly to this day. I can spend all day in it without getting sore.
Good work. Where did you get the foam. I am looking to make a solid backrest for my Hurricane Santee 116 kayak. The bottom is great, but a high back rest would complete the seating situation. Thanks.
It looks nice, but You are spreading a lot of MICRO-PLAST. Please consider a way to minimize this. Kayaking is about enjoying nature. Lets keep it clean. :-)
