Starfish are the perfect addition to a beach cake. You could always use a mold to make them, but they are so easy, watch as I show you how to make a Gumpaste Starfish. By hand... no mold necessary!!

You can, but it will take much longer to dry and won't dry as hard. Not a big deal though, just make them far enough ahead of time :)

how many hours did it took to dry?

I'm not entirely sure, I let it dry overnight, but the gumpaste I use dries quickly and probably would have been dry in just a few hours. It really depends on the size of your starfish and the gumpaste you use.
