@@landlobsterqueen5578 I basically just set up a waterlogged sculksensor with wool around it (so the actual noteblocks won't repeatedly set it off-- just make sure to leave the top of it exposed to it can still hear footsteps from above), and then you can either connect that directly to the first noteblock OR connect it to some sort of timer. The one I made wasn't exactly elegant- but it was a dropper full of stone that would fall onto a pressure plate, which activated a sticky piston with a redstone block attached to it. The redstone block would (when extended) connect to the first noteblock via some redstone wire (or a repeator- I don't completely remember), and as long as there was still a block on the pressureplate it would STAY extended. This basically meant that the melody would only be able to play again after all of the drops on the preassureplate had despawned (5 minutes, but more if people set it off repeatedly), so that people might get a bit more caught off-guard when they stumble upon it without being able to instantly re-play the melody. Hopefully this sorta explains it- sorry if it's a but on the messy side, I'm not exactly a redstone expert ^^'

@@niffry for anyone wanting to build this, to claify, you connect the timer to the first noteblock via redstone repeater! i just set it at 3 ticks (btw ur explaination is very understandable) Also, make sure to cover the sides of the pressure plate so the stone doesnt slip off :D Thank you so much for this!
