Ranking EVERY CONSOLE TEXTURE PACK 

To anyone wondering where packs like the Christmas and Greek ones and all the other classics are; I could not find any versions that were ported to Java and I only wanted to rank ones I could show off the way I wanted to. If there are ports of the other ones then please @ me in my discord server with a link to them and I will happily do another list covering them ^-^ UPDATE: Apparently the link to download the packs shown in this video were not linked in the video description which is odd because I do remember linking them. Either way, they're there now for all of you to check out.

The exclusion of the xmas texture pack (the best one) is criminal

The Enderman being Slenderman in the Halloween pack is the best mob texture of all time

The mass effect texture pack started the trend of mass effect randomly appearing in crossovers out of nowhere in other games

the mario one for the wii u will forever be one of my favorites

I like how he kept talking about how the city texture pack fit really well with the game, then just places a creeper with a tuxedo 😂

Remember when you could use these paid packs for free, but you could only use them on the world that the mashup pack provided you with? I also believe you couldn’t save the world. I had no money, so I just played in the default mashup pack worlds and I never got bored. I remember really liking Pirates of the Caribbean and Skyrim. Mass Effect was cool, too

Fun fact: They still update all of these packs on Bedrock Edition to this day. They all have full 1.21 support already.

Something he forgot to mention with the plastic texture packs is that they also affect the Auto-Selected, Steve, and Alex skins. There was also a Developer version of the Steve and Alex skins that were always in the Plastic style.

Weirdest thing, is these nostalgic texture pack is still being updated, even saw the Warden in the nostalgic phase.

I will never forget the the worlds that came with the Halo, Winter, and Halloween texture packs

I thought there was an ancient Greek pack. But I might be wrong, dam it's been a while since I played that version.

The plastic texture pack is really unique as it’s meant to look the same as the artwork used for the console versions of the game at the time, and it even changes the look of Steve to become Plastic Steve which is such a nice little bonus!

I feel so old now that I’m watching RU-vidrs talking about their childhood mc RU-vidrs and then talking about my childhood mc RU-vidrs. Real men grew up hearing the words “Helllooooo everyone this is Stampy, and welcome to a new episode of stampys lovely world” with that classic mfing intro music.

I would always do "roleplays" with my friends in the mashup pack worlds. So the skyrim and mass effect packs would go way higher for me. I also remember the fallout one which wasnt here but i would always play with my friends. Damn this was a hit of nostalgia

There also was a viking pack and the map... Holy shit, the map... It was a recreation of the nordic mythology worlds with the tree of life in the middle and stuff like the dining hall, hell, and it was huge.

dont forget the pumpkin head with mas effect textures gave you an awesome HUD

If you can find them, I also remember the Adventure Time, Festive, and Norse Mythology texture packs fondly

The candy texture pack was so nostalgic for me, cause I remembered that texture pack was on my first survival world, cause before I only played creative.

I like how they are all parallels of eachother, we have simplified and more complex, modern city and fantasy world, a bad game and a great game, spooky holloween and happy candy

I remember the Halloween texture pack having the dancing flowers.

I have a very personal connection to the Plastic texture pack because when I was 5, I built a huge lapis castle with one of my friends, and the world we built it in used Plastic. I think that Candy is the best texture pack, but City goes hard

Another detail I love about the Halloween is that sometimes something will peek at you front behind a plank in random plank blocks.

I remember plastic, natural, candy, and especially Halloween. I remember I used to play the Halloween amusement park over and over. I thought it was the coolest thing because of how creative it was

The Halloween mash up pack was full of awesome structures. I remember when I would always create a new Halloween world without owning it and building giant mansions and just straight exploring, and the music was on top like omg

city texture pack is 10/10, absolutely loved that one

My most favorite of the console texture packs was the festive one. AMAZING map with lots of details and secrets with some nice music to go with it all.

From the switch to Bedrock, the City texture pack was the only one I bought. I'm glad that Minecraft dudes keep these updated whenever they can.

Most of these Texture packs (Halloween and plastic for example) are still being updated on bedrock as of 1.20 However others have been abandoned sadly

My favorite part of city is how llama carpets make them cars, and black is a cop car that gives it sun glasses.

The plastic texture pack will always be a symbol of our childhoods. I'll always remember it thanks to that one Stampy episode where they make a toy town

I would regularly play the mass effect world and try and survive and try to find diamonds in the ship, it was so hard to figure out what anything was, so fun

The fallout, Halo, Mario, Little Big Planet, and Christmas ones are heaters

I really liked the city one as a kid. Idk why, i guess i just liked seeing the mobs wearing suits

i just got hit with the biggest wave of nostalgia when i saw the line up.

one of the things I LOVED about the legacy texture packs, was the fact 4J made it work with regular minecraft and the mash-up worlds you could play around in.

When void listens to a suggestion(I'm literally the goat) also I still use plastic to this day it's great literally my favorite

12:20 fun fact: these textures got updated late into the console editions' life, animating a ton of stuff. The roses bite, any and all eyes will blink at you etc

You forgot about the Viking, steam punk, halo, Christmas, fallout, adventure time and Mario pack.

When I was a kid I only ever had the Halo mashup pack (because my parents hated the idea of spending money on video games but they both loved Halo) and I played the HELL out of that map. I never really had online friends to play it with but, still, Halo texture pack good. It has the look of Halo while not being intrusive in its block textures, like the hazmat stripes on clay that Mass Effect did. I wish it was in this video so I can at least feel a nostalgia wave for it, but the plastic pack sure did take me back to when I watched Stampy.

Now we just need current day versions of these texture packs for Java. I only got to experience half of what legacy console had to offer, but what I got from it felt like something I won’t ever forget. It’s like: Minecraft: Java Edition is the core, Legacy Console is the best that it had to offer, Pocket edition was impressive for it’s time, and Bedrock Edition wishes it could have the same feel as those. Legacy Console just had an atmosphere to it that I wish could be recreated in Java, so I can play it again.

when i was younger i really wanted that city texture pack on pocket edition and i remember asking my mom and i remember being really happy getting it even though i lost a creative world i remember working on a lot. i was like five bro that was ten years ago now

I believe before the mashup pack released, the texturepack was released only for a limited time and I think it was only on Xbox One

Something I personally love about the City texture pack is that (among some other things), plain cobblestone actually looks good on builds

Can you do an extra vid or smt rating the PS exclusive packs? Like the LBP pack?

I remember having the dmos for the different mash up packs, where it would delete your world after you left. I used to mess around for hours after school on the fallout one. I didnt even know what fallout was at the time.

Erm actually, you used the normal pumpkin to represent the Halloween mashup, but it's actually supposed to be a jack-o'-lantern

I’m so glad you can still buy the Legacy console texture packs on the bedrock edition marketplace. You can buy them if you ever feel nostalgic.

almost everyday after school my friend would come over and we'd play minecraft creative all the time, I remember us using the plastic and natural texture pack a lot and I think the Halloween and Christmas ones too but its hard to remember

The insane feel of nostalgia these texture packs were my childhood

Me any my friends made a big city with the City Texture Pack, and boy does that bring back memories. We called it the city of Blockopolis, and we would hop on all the time to add new buildings and roleplay. I remember my friends (very understandably) didn’t wanna stay in the crappy hotel that I made, and since it was a flat world, there was a village nearby, and so they would always ask if they could stay in the village, and I said that one day I would make a train station that would lead to the village so they could stay there. Years passed. Aquatic update came out. Village and Pillage came out. Bedrock edition came out. We had stopped playing the world long before those updates. One day, I hop on the world to get some nostalgia, and I decide to finally finish the city. I add a few more buildings that were missing, and the final one being the train station leading to the village. It was still an og village (one made before village and pillage) so all the villagers were wandering away from the village due to lack of beds and workstations, but I invited my friends on to show them the city one last time 🌅

I remember that I really liked to play on the christmas mashup map or whatever. It felt big as hell though

The city texture and the halloween theme park map are so nostalgic, i remember using them a really long time ago before i played java

I was so young when i played these maps, but it still feels like it was yesterday and it makes me feel so old even though i’m not even an adult yet

Funny thing is, I'm still playing the Old Console version, it brings back Nostalgia and honestly it feels more natural, especially when you used to play the minigames with your friends, it was the best

One of my favorite all time Minecraft paintings is from City Texture Pack. It's the one with the multi colored Creeper heads in a grid shape. I want a real one for my house so much.

What we can take away from this video: -The old 360 texture packs were peak -Void needs to turn down his monitor brightness

The sheer amount of nostalgia the Halloween and plastic ones give me is insane. I have so many fond memories of playing with my dad or little brother on my 360.

I loved the Easter eggs on all the texture pack themed maps

oh my god the Halloween texture pack. The amount of memories I have just messing around and exploring the world in the mashup pack with my little brother is insane. All the rides and manors and everything, so goddamn good, and same for the Mario pack
