The essence of knowledge transferred in so nice and simple way as we are used to it. You are not only Master Luthier, but You are also a Master Teacher. Transferring knowledge in this way is very rare and you are gifted to do so. Looking forward to watching the next video.

To make the jig more durable, you could drill the holes a bit larger and use a piece of brass pipe as a bushing. That has the additional benefit that a bigger drillbit is less likely to wander.

Thank you for your excellent video. I always learned that the holes in the bridge should be angled upwards. Do you do this as well? I might have missed this in the video.

Hi, I built a guitar.. took ages.. many corrections needed.. anyway got there.. only to discover the bridge I glued down (bought on ebay 2 with saddle and nut for 10 quid rosewood very cheap) had the hole for the 2nd string about a millimeter at least too near the 3rd string hole.. I was appalled as you can imagine... got any ideas.. don't want to remove the bridge and drill head is too big to get in position... paul

Hi Paul, search on line for a drill bit 1.5 mm in diameter and 160 mm long. They are available in some websites or even on eBay. You would have to plug in the existing hole and drill a new one using this extra long drill bit.

thank you for the reply.. I am totally furious as you can imagine.. I can see me having to remove the bridge.. I don't think the other holes are spot on either... I used titebond (cause my hide glue granules were old and just didn't seem to work)... do you know the best way to get off a bridge stuck with titebond? thanks, paul
