I have been searching Etsy for hours looking for journal papers and they are all so BUSY! I stumbled on this video and I am now on my way to your Etsy shop!!! Thank you for your beautiful paper!
I love your soft designs and muted lovely colors. Your journal is gorgeous. Your explanations and demonstration show clearly how to use the components, what to do, how well thought out this was. I hope you'll show us another time the modifications to have a wider spine and insert more signatures. This video, what you've done here, is just -- wonderful. Thank you so much.
What a fabulous and thorough tutorial! So many great tips. The stitching template is genius. Thank you. I love the simple and uncluttered design, so it can truly be used as a “journal”.
Thank you Cheryl! When I realised I couldn't keep up with the demand for my hand made journals I wanted a way to share my style and approach and this is what I came up with. I have so many more ideas still to come! :) xx
Beautiful, beautiful kit. The colour palette is so soft, so calm, absolutely gorgeous. Your kit is already in my Etsy shopping cart. Thank you for all the tips and tricks. Have a very nice weekend.
Thank you so much Debby! I was a bit nervous about launching my first kit but it's been well received so far and I hope you enjoy creating yours! :) xx
@@AtticLane there are all sorts of people liking all sorts of styles. If everyone did the same thing it gets boring. I love the non-vintage clean, simple look, it's just beautiful. I love watching your videos and when I'm. Feeling anxious or stressed your videos are what I turn to first. You have a very gentle soothing voice, and a clear unfussy presentation. I'm glad you're here. Please keep doing you!
Very nice digi kit...beautiful papers and ephemera! As a book maker myself, I appreciate your work and great tutorials. Love love love the little paper beads...genius! I am going now to see if I can afford your kit and the craft-tex. Great job on all fronts! 😊
I love this! My husband and I, along with my mother, are going to Ireland this coming year and I wanted to make her a TN to record her memories. Your kit is absolutely perfect for this project! Not only are blues and greens her favorite colors, but also the colors that come to mind when thinking of Ireland! You just made me a very happy person!!! ❤️💐❤️
that is fabulous....always looking for some new crafty ideas and now I've found one. Not sure I can get that paper though, as I'm in Spain - any ideas?
Hi Teresa! Thank you for your kind comments :) Location no problem as these pages and all the other ephemera I used to make this journal are available as a downloadable kit from my Etsy shop here: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/777619265/a-leafy-glade-printable-journal-kit?ref=shop_home_active_6&crt=1
@@AtticLane I found it and have bought the kit, plus the quotes, envelopes and mini cards. It was the 160gsm paper I wondered about. Going to try it with my printer paper to see how I get on though x
Just love this, its a gorgeous kit. I am wanting to buy a new printer, which one do you use? Am I right in that it is an ecotank? What model haveyou got. Thanks
Thank you Linda! I use an Epsom ET 4550 Eco tank which I found second hand on Amazon marketplace. I've had it for about 18 months and have not had to replace the ink yet. From memory the ink cartridges hold 70ml of ink compared with about 7.5ml for standard ink jets and a replacement (70ml) will cost me about £9.00. The printer is expensive, you pay more upfront for that but you save long term on ink. :) xx
I purchased the kit (beautiful, by the way!) and I'm looking at the Kraft-Tex. What is the difference between washed and unwashed? If I buy the unwashed, do I have to wash it first?
Hi Cindy! I'm so glad you like the kit :) I didn't wash the Kraft tex for this project since it is used purely as a substrate which will take glueing and stitching. However, if you use the kraft tex as a cover on it's own and if you want a slightly distressed look, that's when you can wash it for a rumpled effect. Happy crafting :) xx
Hi Robynn and thank you! The final printed page size you need for the journal is 7" x 10" so that should be ok on any printer. If you want to print double sided, the pages are centred horizontally and vertically so I would expect that to work too. I printed mine on an Epsom eco tank printer if that helps :) xx
