Thank you so much for this easy to follow tutorial. I am so happy with the lampshade I made this evening, its really added an extra touch of opulence to my bedroom and it's been a really fun lockdown project. You're a great teacher! 😊
OMG 😲, I love the fringe I love the fringe, this lamp makes me feel good cuz everytime I'm in the room I'd twist it round to move like a hula hula 💃 dance. I have to tell you it's a whimsical and beautiful lamp!!!!!!!
So wonderful to have you back again, after your big move! Looked you up just last night in hopes, and now here you are. I look forward to getting the ribbon and tools from you to replace the tattered old silk shade on my beloved antique work lamp. I love the effect of the netting over the fabric. Beautiful!
At last - we got the broadband working well enough to upload videos again! Yay - was so excited, but now it's gone again lol. Hopefully this will be a short term hiccough. It is good to be back.
honestly I have not bothered as the new low energy light bulbs give off little or no heat at all - if you wish to use a high wattage traditional heat lamp (sorry light bulb lol) some fire retardant may be appropriate.
The hardest part of making a new lampshade is making the template and you zoomed right past that instruction. Change the title to decorating a re-fabriced lampshade.
