This is fantastic I would personally recommend using trimming line instead of razor blades. From personal experience in the landscaping industry things will fly very far and fast when mowing. One of those blades breaking off could end in your neck.

I can't get the wheels on my mower through the grass easily, I can't imagine those office chair wheels would work very well. And like someone else mentioned those blades are designed to be snapped off so there are likely to be razor sharp pieces flying from under this thing.

The blades you used are OK... but they have a high probability of getting shredded into pieces. Even if they don't hit anybody, it would be unsafe to walk in a lawn with shards of that blade lying here and there. Reinforcing the blades with something sturdy (carbon fiber rods) might be a solution.. What do you say ?

You could/should probably add some side panels so that the rotating blades are 'hidden' from outside both for helf and saftey and means you don't just chuck out cuttings to the sides. The alternative to metal blades might be as I see others have commented the cord that a strimmer uses or those plastic blades strimmers use. Ofcourse not as cheap as £1 ($1) blades... Maybe a strimmer centre with motor might make a better mower?
