How to Make a Lyre Harp From Scrap Wood + Demo 

I find this video encouraging for the relative ease of construction as opposed to a hollow lyre. Do you find it plays loud enough without a hollow? Do you wish you would have included one or a carved bowl that I see in some solid lyre designs? I'm ordering parts and trying to consider some of these things before I attempt to make it myself. Thank you for including tuning of the strings as well.

what’s (in your opinion) the thinnest the top attachment point (location of tuning pegs) could be (width, not thickness of the wood as a whole) before it would compromise the integrity of the instrument once tension is put on it ??

also, sorry for so many questions, how are the strings attached below the bridge?? are there also pegs there?? are those harp strings, or lyre strings in particular (and if they were harp, how much did you have to trim off in the end)?
