For all mice lover, before disliking my video and leaving an abusive comment, please read out this newspaper article: www.dawn.com/news/1249095 Some time mice become nonsense and there is no way other than to kill them in one way or other. I love all creatures unless they are not harmful to human being.
Generally we use a small piece of bread, apple, carrot, tomato or some thing like that. From 1:48 you can see how I bait and sit the trap. bait is tied with a string and the ends of string are tied near the inner ends of springs.
Betcha those 7K dislike people - when they have mice - they call exterminator to poison the mice to a slow, agonizingly painful, inhumane death. Then the dead mice are eaten by pets or birds who also die like the mice died. But - those nice, animal friendly people never have to witness the pain they caused with their (so-called humane treatment of animals.)
Theoretically, you could make one with bigger wire and stronger springs for foxes, squirrels, rats, rabbits, and other pest animals that hurt pets and destroy gardens.
It is very useful👍 thanks for sharing this..i will surely try this one.. is it okay to mention your channel if ever i will try to vlog and try this tip? I have been following your channel and love your ideas..
You know what? In making this trap I decided not to buy any thing from market. That is why I used the term homemade. Homemade from handy available materials at home. To some extent you are right that the spring are not too strong. But still I'm pretty sure that they are strong enough to catch a mouse or bird.
Thanks! This is an alternative version of trap in which instead of springs rubber is used. They work great both for birds and mice. As regard the trap in this video I didn't give it a try yet as most people don't like the videos which show trapping a bird or mouse. But now I will give it a try.
Don't get me wrong you did make a nice trap but that's a hell of a lot of work to make that. Simpler to go to the lumber yard and buy one just like it .
Thanks for the appreciation. You are right that the spring are weak, but they were what available at the time of making the trap. I successfully tasted it and it hold a big mouse unexpectedly. However it doesn't kill it at once.
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( I was was looking for a tutorial to make a rat's home and youtube gives me tutorials to build mouse traps... How sad is this.. While some people thinks rats as pets, others kill them...
Birdy Official I saw it here on RU-vid. You take a 5 gallon bucket and put a rod across the top and through a pop can. This allows the can to spin on the rod. You put peanut butter or bait on the can and the mice go out and fall off into the water and drown. We made one at the plant where I work and on night one caught 18 mice. I mean nasty.... But effective.
I can guess that it would be very effective. Mice is a nonsense with us and even govt. has announced bounty for those who kill mice. But personally don't like killing them in water. Some days ago caught tow mice in cage trap. Ask the kids to free them far away from home, but the kids killed the mice by drowning them in water.
Mice are living animals with a soul. You have no soul, but only a black hole for a heart. Open your heart to other living creatures and realize you are no better than a murderer.
I guess that you have never heard of this, Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS). Go ahead and google it. Or perhaps you haven't had the opportunity to have your electric go out because the rats chewed the wood under the air conditioner tray, which then created an uneven balance of the tray. Water then seeps through to electrical outlet underneath. Water also created a black mold situation now. I have both live traps, and kill traps. I'm on a mission, and ask forgiveness from the creator.
GuineapigGirl AJ May be a murderer but I prefer humans over mice. I shared a news paper link with you where government not only ask for killing mice but also announce a bounty for mice killers and that is because a lot of causalities occurred due to mice bites.
GuineapigGirl AJ, I've really been thinking about how this must be devastating to a young lady such as yourself. You have such compassion for rodents, and I have decided to use only live traps. I believe that the best thing here would be to have you come get these rats as they are caught, and let them live with you. Since you have such love and adoration for them, I do believe that you would be able to provide the loving environment that would please both you, and the rats. What do you think?
GuineapigGirl AJ I have a hamster and in some countries they treat them like they are just annoying creatures. Just like mice they are not annoying creatures you should never kill them
I don't Like Mice but I don't find that it's Humane to kill them when there's any remedies that you could do to get them out of your home without killing or injuring them
Hello: I've had mice infestation and reduced it drastically by using, Mouse Glue Mats; 24 mice caught to date in 3 months'. Chocolate is the best bait. Drown them with prepared water. Your idea is very good and coil feature on survival & camping books and magazines. I just happen to be reading about traps in the book: SAS SURVIVAL HANDBOOK. By, John Wiseman. Regards.
Cool trap! And the people making negative comments below.......They're the type people who panic in the smallest of emergency situation. Suffice it to say, most of them would be up $#it creek if their local walmart wasn't open 24-7.
I like the design, and out in the bush if you could piece something like this for squirrels, rabbits, and other small game, but I feel like this doesn't have the clamping force to cleanly kill something.
