Drake's "Nice For What" and "In My Feelings" are great examples of what a N.O. Bounce music sounds like. In this video i will go through all the elements to make this type of production. You really only need a 808 kit a daw with a sampler (even bandlab works) and triggerman, move like a snake rock the beat etc loops over the rnb sample. Minus the daw (they used a mpc or sp sampler) thats all you needed in the 90s

There are drums in that sample but you are adding your own drums. How do you make sure they do not clash?

What are some good songs to sample for this kind of music? I have tried making a beat with an old RnB sample but it sounds too soulful and does not really “bounce.” It is hard to find more upbeat RnB samples.

Sorry auto correct screwed that sentence up. YES It is copyrighted, but as the PRODUCER you don’t have to get the sample cleared that is the ARTIST, (rapper, singer, etc) who actually release the record job.
