It is still a good idea to firm the compost before planting, this won’t compact like soil does but it will give the roots more firmness to grow into, very good idea on using up extra space 😊
Very true. I had a large growing space in my allotment and even then I was struggling for space! It is really interesting growing in a smaller area as I really need to think much more about what to grow and where. Kind regards. Gary
